I'm not even a big Markstrom fan, but how does he not even make the "just missed" list? He put up OK numbers behind a tire fire team.

No idea , obviously they think we are so bad that we have AHL goaltending. Typical eastern media love.....

At least 3 of those listed, Kincaid, Dell and Saros are backup goalies. Our goaltending probably ranks around 40th.

it's simple we finish bottom 5 , plant a rumour that J.Hughes wants to play with his bro , offer any asset with our pick other then Petterson or Boeser for the 1st overall in van-city and we win all
even its Horvat and the first next year it will be worth the risk

the most important forward, the starting goalie and the 2 best dmen on the current roster were all inherited though

plus he inherited Garrison/Kesler/Bieksa/Hansen/Burrows who all had good trade value

The only contracts he was truly "stuck" with were Higgins, Hamhuis and the Sedins

- Nucker101

Garrison was a bust & still is.
Kesler hamstrung us & i said he’d never win a cup in Anaheim. That still looks good 😂
As for Lui well lets not go there 🤪

I watched a ton of video of jack playing at U18s, playing with wahlstrom, and playing in the USHL. He looks like he belongs in an entire league above the rest. I was reading Cam Robinsons (prospect guy) top 10 for next year and he thinks the top 10 players will be very good players.

Don't get me wrong, I think Hughes is a very good player, I just don't give out the 1st overall award until late into final season, especially when I think some other kids are very talented and deserving prospects.

That's not close at all but I know this post is a friendly jab. Still, you fail ever to see my theme of countering the exaggerations, judgemental posts on rumours, the excessive spins, misrepresentation of statements, media spin, all of that to build up narratives that are more fiction than anything at times. I'm like that with politics as well. Like I said the other day... if there were a counter position on here to that... I would laugh at it.... but there isnt. Rationality or people who don't beat a drum all day about what they want often get pigeon holed as a circle jerker... but that's just drama queens mostly trying to deflect attention from their maturity.

Don't take it personal. People don't like their opinions countered but there is only a certain type of opinion I play this game with or else I just discuss or show no interest in. I feel people invite these types of responses anyways. It confuses me when they are put off by it.

Fair enough. Hard to not be hyped about the potential of having both jack and quin on the same team.

Its unbelievable that difference of opinion is taken so seriously on this site.
I personally have said i dont want to acquire any ufas unless its a pure replacement for a sutter or gudbranson trade..i want to weaponize that (current) 29 million cap space and acquire picks and prospects for cap dumps.

- Codes1087

"Seriously" is a gross exaggeration. Just what I'm talking about right there.

Hockeybuzz is literally a site to express your opinion on your hockey team, and have someone else immediately counter it with (hopefully) fact based points. Healthy debates happen on here daily, and also, some unhealthy ones obviously as well. Either way booner, i guess its hard to take your replies as anything other than counter arguing when you always seem to counter everything everyone else posts lol.

Sometimes, actually most times, it's hard to articulate emotion or feelings on a keyboard. You don't actually know if someone is joking or they're serious or if their comments are a bit tongue-in-cheek.

That applies to Booner as well, half the time he's just not as serious as he comes across I'm guessing. He's an intelligent guy, just a little rough around the edges

- LeftCoaster

Winner winner chicken dinner. I'm pretty sure people can tell a pissed off booner, one who took something personal and one just taking jabs at the posts dripping with drama and having a laugh about it.

People take their exaggerations and being laughed at or countered as personal. In reality, they are the ones that need to be less serious then.

I dont take anything anyone says on this site personally. I just wasnt sure you were joking or being half serious when you did 3 separate replies on my one post. I had presumed you felt pretty passionate about trying to counter me lol
