Willie/Martin for Tanev/Sven

Now before you all roast me...

Tanev fills a real need at a great price.
Sven comes cheap with a new contract.
Willie is the best player in the deal but next contract is a tough fit & Marner is no doubt much better to pay off.
Martin is a cap dump & easily replaced by internal talent.

Not so sure that gets it done but feel free to tweak the deal. Thx

Give him 2 million who cares. We arent a cap team for a few years so pay to get the guys you need on short term deals.

What does him making 1, 2 or 3 million a year for a year or 2 even matter?

I think most here would take Begale + late 1st(or 2nd + prospect) over Sutter

Lucic is a capable hockey player who has put up 50-60 points in a system that isnt with McDavid.

Its hard to score in the league. That costs money. Lucic is overpaid, not debating that. Rather over pay a bit for someone who can play vs paying very little for a player who really doesnt help.

A huge no thank you to nylander..

Tanev should be moved for picks or a prospect RHD or C. We do not need another winger especially one that will want 6 million a season waste of cap space. We have enough small wingers coming.

Brown just scored 28 goals. Eriksson had 10. Plus like you said, Brown provides grit and is a former captain.

depends on the contract, but he seems like a decent target for depth/versatility. I would pass if it turns into a mini bidding war. Same with Roussel.


I still like the idea of signing Tim Schaller for like 1.25M. He's willing to drop the gloves and is actually a decent 4th liner.
