Opens up the option to trade Sutter.
Probably not but its if a great offer. - Nighthawk
if they move Sutter for a late 1st at the TDL then this move makes a ton of sense.
Canucks don't have another C in the lineup that can fill Sutter's role right now. |

i'll be happy if he develops into a solid bottom pairing dman. - Nucker101

idk. petterson and boeser will probably be more than fine on their own.
Alex looks like a bust. - Tumbleweed
Split up EP & BB is best. Yes Alex looks like a bust |

if Demko stays down and they get some actual scoring then they'll be a contender. |

I agree but its the 1st which makes it possible. No trade is fine as well. The return has to justify any trade. |

I'd split up Boeser and Horvat actually, I didn't see a lot of chemistry between them. Boeser needs someone to feed him the puck and Bo is a powerforward. Lipstick or Baertschi aren't gifted enough playmakers for that to be a legit 1st line. |

2nd and a solid prospect works too
I really hope the draft being in Vancouver is motivating Benning to actually add picks for once |

Tanev to Buffalo for a wing makes no sense to me. For Alex not at all in any scenario. |

I know most of the guys in here want nothing to do with Corsi, but Beagle had the worst Corsi in the entire NHL for players who played more than 50 games. Is it the be-all end-all of him as a player? No. But does it raise concerns/flags.. I would say so. - Codes1087
Just seeing this now, but he was basically used as a shutdown C for the Caps this year. And despite that usage, he was middle of the pack on the Caps roster when it came to high danger scoring chances against.
He played decently given the role he had. |

I think more picks are coming. With our set up & likely bottom 3 its inevitable. |

Corsi has no place on most teams that are not contenders. Its irrelevant unless its the difference in winning a cup or not. |

Yes, that's what makes this signing curious.
Either they plan on using Beagle differently, using him as a Winger with Sutter, or he's being brought in to replace Sutter. |

Tanev is needed here more than just trading him to trade him. Depth on RHD is our weakness. Takes an offer JB cannot say no to. |

Sutter has more offensive upside, so unless they're bringing Beagle in only to trade him off at this TDL I would hope they play them together so Granlund is spared having to play defense all the time.
If they trade Sutter and replace him with Beagle we will only get worse |
