Consider difference in post-career earnings b/w cities if JT is a great player for even next few years, or Lordy, after a Cup win. Nearly 40 years later my Dad & FiL still earn a bit from NYI years. Wendel earns 6 figures to shake hands at games in TO. Tax stuff is short-sighted.

Back on @LeafsLunch1050 from 12-2 today, and I am sure the Tavares conversation will continue. Yesterday, I wondered why Toronto was in the bidding, when it already has @AM34 and @43_Kadri. It was not a popular position, but then a veteran NHL coach pointed me in this direction
