How have you concluded that meeting with Dallas is about maximizing his money.

Provide one, credible, source of information saying that is his motivation for speaking with the Stars.

I'm in my 50's but that's not old, it's middle age lol. I just became a grandfather three months ago though, so I may reconsider my stance on it??

This is exactly it. We wouldn't have an argument if UG wasn't so adamant that the chances for the Leafs to get Tavares is so totally minuscule.
We all know its a long shot. We just think he's making too big a deal out of how poopty their chances actually are.

According to him the only thing Toronto offers is money, nothing else. But they don't offer money either cause taxes.

I bet most people here have run into a Leafs player in the city. Hell, I never spent much time downtown and I have run into at least 4 that I can remember.

Never once, have I ever seen them being disturbed by a fan. I have never even seen them being asked for an autograph and barely even acknowledged. I remember once seeing a dad tell his kid that was Mats Sundin after Sundin was out of earshot, and I remember a guy in Coles(?) bookstore saying Hey Tie Domi!

I wonder about this whole privacy and can't leave the house thing. I think it's bullpoop.

Had hoped to find this answer by back reading but got sick of taxgate after 2 pages.

So what's the deal with Johnny T? If nothing comes out of his camp by Saturday at midnight is it safe to say he's likely leaving Long Island?

Like what's the holdup? If he wanted to return there and was happy with the direction they are heading you have to think $11 mln for 8 years would seal it, no?

There is truth to it for sure. Just because you havent seen examples of doesnt mean its not there.
But i agree, i dont think its as bad as the media make it out to be when the team is doing well.
