Would like to see Ronald take guys with a high risk high reward with his later round picks. - rinaldo
Hextall did close to that with the second pick in the first round so now you change your tune to later rounds. You must not want to admit Hextall is doing his job. |

What do you think of Carlo if that meant taking on Krejci and his contract? - Glak18
Kind of why I like Trouba. I'd love the Flyers to get in on him. |

I don’t know much about Fox, so hard for me to weigh the true value of the trade.
I’m a big fan of both the Carolina guys they traded. Hanafin will be a very good top pair guy, he’s still a baby in regards to D men. - Marc D
So you just called Provorov a baby also?

Bill, can you confirm if this is the first draft in Flyers history in which the team did not select a Canadian born player in any round? I believe it is. - BOSS_TWEED
Yes, furthering tensions between the US and Canada |

Very very interesting. For it to happen I guess they’d have to win over Tavares. I would definitely explore this.
Would a 3rd and St. Ivany do it? |

But for the cost? Trust me it is going to cost a lot more than Flyers "junk" and prospects they don't care about. |

Yes. Many an all-Canadian draft in the early years but this is rhe first zero Canadian one. |

When they traded for and signed MacDonald, he was supposed to be a puck mover who was solid defensively. Last year him and Hagg were the main 2nd pairing, with Manning/Sanheim-Gudas as the 3rd pairing. If the Flyers add a puck mover who is solid defensively, is it MacDonald or Hagg who gets bumped off the 2nd pairing? |

Bill, great work as always and for that, thank you. I saw various reports that Hextall did not request Wayne Simmonds' no trade list. Is there now a greater likelihood that Simmonds will be extended this summer? If so, will that cut back on the pursuit of a legitimate 3C? - Sinisalo4vr
Same likelihood. Their Plan A is to re-sign him even if it goes into next season, from what I have heard. |

I really do think Tavares is going to Toronto, will be their captain
Their core will be Tavares, Matthews and Marner as forwards, Reilly and Dermott on defense, and they will trade William Nylander for another high-end defender
What sways him: Andersen is a damn good goaltender |

Late first round max. Pick 19 isn't late first round it's mid. |

Hopefully both, once Sanheim claims the 2nd pair role. |

Farabee is gonna be a future first liner and if JOB pans out we can move frost to the wing and have an impressive 1-2-3 down the middle and wing depth we've been missing for a while
I think Ginning is going to be groomed to replace Hagg when we eventually lose him to expansion. I really like the Wyatte (sp?) Pick I think he's going to be a good player. Good value with the goalie pick if he was considered a 3rd round prospect |

Remember, those crazy Russians are always lying about their ages. Provorov has maybe 2-3 years left before retirement. |

I wouldn't write Hagg's name down on Seattle's team sheet just yet. The Flyers will have to leave some pretty good forwards unprotected if they only protect 4 of them as well as Provorov, Ghost, Sanheim and Myers. |

Yeah that would make Matthews feel great.
I know it might sound dumb but I don't think that happens. This is Matthews team and bring in Tavares I think would be telling him it's not and might cause a little problem. There are already reports that Matthews and Babcock aren't on best terms. Do the Leafs want to create this type of atmosphere so maybe Matthews decides he eventually wants to hit FA and not sign long term. |
