improvement with warm showers is pathognomonic for cvs
conventional antiemetics rarely work and opioids are contraindicated
although a lot of patients with cvs will request dilaudid and Ativan as the only thing that works for them - Marc D
Yeah because it's not really your conventional nausea at all. Which is from the vomiting center in the brain and is more of a reflex thing from the chemoreceptor trigger zone. From what I've gathered thus far from the little that people understand it is that cannabinoids work on CB1 and 2 receptors in the GI which is why you can use dronabinol for chemo induced nausea. It binds to those receptors and slows gut motility and poop (literally I guess). But cannabinoid induced hyperemesis might have something to do with the constant stimulation of those receptors and it throwing your whole GI into a loop. Either way zofran isn't gonna do poop because the origin of the nausea isn't actually your brain (i.e. the chemoreceptor trigger zone). Now...why olanzapine? Who the (frank) knows lol
Pretty wild poop.
I actually have a real job now. I'm not being blue balled along with no residency and stuff. I'll be a real pharmacist in July |

Yep. Something like 3 years, 700k AAV.
My math could be off, but not by much. Very team friendly. Obviously, they believe in him a little bit. Enough to give the big fella some security. |

Me too. Happened over draft weekend, which utterly overshadowed the signing.
He seems like a great kid, so I hope he can rehab and get himself into the mix. |

Congrats on your job!
the antipsychotics are great for treating nausea
must be something to do with the dopamine receptors
all I know is that they work |

It came from Ek, I wouldn’t lose much sleep over it. With the way Hextall values secrecy, Ek’s source is probably a disgruntled former peanut vendor. - BiggE

hey bill or anyone, I remember reading Ustimenko's mom or dad or something died earlier in the season. Does anyone else recall this? A Flyers prospect definitely had to take time away from the game because of the death of someone close. Forget who it was for sure though
It was a number of months ago
Anyone? |

With some of the names out there not being tendered...there is zero excuse for a weise or lehtera remaining in the lineup. Smith-pelley, Daniel carr, are some names out there...not to mention this needs to be the year michael raffl finds a permanent home on the 4th line |

No problem with penciling in Raffl on the 3rd line. Solid 3rd line winger. I thought he had a disappointing year last year, but if he can bounce back to the normal player we saw, does a lot of good things for a team.

Would rather a lineup where Raffl can be penciled in on the 4th line. The scoring touch just isn't there with him. We just don't have the LW to do that now which is unfortunate. |

No problems with Raffl on the 4th line, he's a good player regardless of where he is in the lineup. Put him with a center who can make plays and he can pot 10-15 goals.

the obvious is that if Raffle is on the 4th line this is a better team, if he has to be on the 3rd, he needs to be the shut down winger to support a center and scoring winger.

Let's hope the reports of Stastny and Grabner aren't true. That would be a bitterly disappointing July 1. Need much better than that. Grabner was a healthy scratch in the playoffs. No thanks. |
