How much time has been wasted in here the last year or so about the canucks not being a preferred destination for players? Drafted an American kid already committed to staying in school... has been reported to have interviewed poorly , that thinks he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. Smells a bit like a lindros scenario to me. Time will tell of course , I'm simply saying cool your jets, we don't have anything but his rights yet

That whole Quinton Hughes interviewed badly with the Canucks bit could have been the Canucks management team bit of manipulation of the press to get him to fall to us. Maybe as a way to help convince teams below them that if they just sweetened the pot enough, the 7OA was their's for the taking.

Again, it wasn't someone credible like Bob Mac or Elliot Friedman reporting it, it was by the Kurtenbloggers who don't have the access that even a Ed Willes or (god forbid) Botchford has with the organization. They could have been given a red herring so that they could blow it up on TSN 1040 to stir the pot and keep the fans guessing.
