Obviously we’ll learn more today, But there seems to be a growing sentiment that John Tavares will stay with the #Isles

translated... no one is hearing anything from Lou (huge surprise)
Tavares' agent will meet with a few teams this week upcoming...
media is uncomfortable not hearing anything..

Since we’re waiting for round two. Random trade scenario I just thought up while looking at some first round articles this morning.
Detroit wanted a d man but had forwards fall in thier lap. They also have 2. 3rd round picks right now. What about a package where we send something like
Gardiner
Our 2nd round pick
The third we scored yesterday
For
Glendening
2nd round pick (33) which leaves them 36
I thought this up looking for a way to jump up and grab Wilde. We trade players on expiring contracts and throw in a pick to compensate for them take more salary the. We take in the deal. Detroit wanted d. And are not gonna get an impact d at this point. At least not one who can step in right away, so they get Gardiner. And we get the d who’s a project with high upside, and our 4c. This is just an early morning idea. Take it easy on me boys. |

Na trading to fill a serious need can work as well..Just need to have the right GM..Takes serious time to draft and develop D especially if ya starting from scratch.. - Fruitcakenipple

How do we fill Gardiner's spot on D if we trade him? Not ripping you, just wondering. |

rosen is very unlikely to make babcock's lineup.
his defensive awareness and proneness to d zone mistakes are even worse than gardiner's, and gardiner is way better on the offensive side. |
