Yea, you need to real that one in a bit.

The greatest to ever play and one of the best is a tall order that Eichel will never touch, IMO.

- ImThatGuy

yea, so I should have been more clear ... not talking production wise.
My thought was, while Gretzky was the Captain, Messier was the emotional heartbeat of that team (and they had a ton of talent to be sure)...he had a very strong will and supreme leadership abilities .... Gretzky had the talent and point to be sure.
So not comparing Eichel to Gretzky in the regard at all ... just that he is very likely to the the Captain going forward. interviews I have heard tell of Dahlins intense determination to be the best, to improve everyday...lead by example.
NOT taking anything away from Jack either.

should be fun to watch

Sources say Barry Trotz and the New York Islanders are closing in on an agreement for Trotz to be the Isles next head coach.

- Stripes77

but Ek said Trotz left the caps because of lack of respect

I guarantee Trotz is getting 4.5 to 5 per vs the 1.8 per from the caps

it's all about the money, nothing more
nothing less

and trotz will join the list of every other coach in the nhl for the last 60 years to not win a cup with a second team, scotty bowman excluded

listening to nhl radio on the satellite this morning, lot of sabre talk

One of the lesser known insiders was being interviewed

He said Girgensons is a really good hockey player

I almost pulled off the road as I was laughing so hard

Ty Dellandrea
Isac Lundestrom

If he takes #26, I might just get my dark blue Vanek replated
- jcragcrumple

I'm definitely doing this. I have a white authentic Vanek. Too expensive to toss. I wonder if we could actually give someone else Moulson's number.

Botts disguised his voice and he's trying to drive up trade value?

He was a good player. I still think he could be resurrected - I just don't know if it will happen here.

Bots spoke very highly of him ... wouldn’t suprise me at all. we are pretty much set at center moving forward. Really need nylander to pan out... on a wing. I would like to see them sign a center if ROR is traded though... too much for Casey too soon could stunt is growth.

When you see some of these brutal contracts and terrible point totals, it makes you feel a little bit better about Okposo's $6 million per year that delivered 44 points. Assuming he trains hard this summer and is healthy next year, I could see Okposo delivering 50+ points.

think Tavares would be interested in playing for a three-time Cup executive and Stanley Cup champion head coach?

- Michael Pachla

Hopefully Tavares stays put
I’ve been fearing he’d sign with the Leafs

I'm betting 200 PassionBucks that Okposo breaks 60. He seems like the kind of character to come back with a bang. He knows what he needs to do and has all summer to do it, restriction free.

KO is going to be a different player next year. He'll have had the whole summer to work out like he likes to, with no lasting effects of concussion. He's going to be fine for us.

Chiarelli indicates that he expects a motivated Milan Lucic to be back in Edmonton next year

Sounds like a ton of interest in Lucic.

I too think he will be a lot better. Hey was probably their best player the last 3 - 4 weeks of the season. He finally looked healthy.

Where are u getting that?

More like EDM was floating his name out there to see if there was any interest
Chiarelli “expecting him back” tells me there wasn’t much interest
