Bruins shouldn't waste their time.
The deal has already been worked out and agreed upon - Simmonds for Bracco. The league asked them to wait until draft night to announce it.
So, once again, it would be a waste of time for the Bruins to even pick up the phone.
(Oh God, I hope this works). |

It's gonna take a lot to get simmer and I don't think he's gonna want a 3 or 4 year contract. His last contract was a discount he's gonna be looking for Evander Kane money and term especially since he's more productive

What do the bruins have to offer? I don't think they have anything worthwhile to offer |

Something like Debrusk or Heinen plus |

Would only have a chance of happening if Backes was moved, which he won't be. Only shot of "moving Backes" is if he retires, which for health reasons he should.
Even then, we would sign either Kovulchuk or Neal as free agents rather than waste assets on a trade. |

1) I don't want to see Simmonds on the Bruins
2) It would cost a team extra within the conference, which I don't see Boston doing
3) Simmonds most likely would want 3-4 years between 5.5-6M
Simple rational Kane 1 30 goal season and Simmonds 2 30 goal seasons does not apply here. |

Simmonds will get a deal like hornqvists at minimal. Everyone’s dreaming of you think he’ll take less than 5 years |

Anthony Travalgia: If Wayne Simmonds is available, the Bruins should be calling
The Flyers are reportedly making Wayne Simmonds available, if true, the Bruins should be calling. - Anthony Travalgia
Why? Why do they need to go get another power forward? Here's how the last bunch of Power Forwards worked out...
Rick Nash - Sucks
David Backes -Done and the Bruins are (frank)ing stuck with him.
Matt Beleskey -Sucks
Milan Lucic - Sucks
Nathan Horton - Broke down. Really liked the Columbus zoo and probably would've really sucked had he stuck around.
Jerome Iginla - Got old and expensive.
Really other than Iginla, this is such an overrated and trash player type. Even Cam Neely. He didn't last nearly as long as he should have. They breakdown quickly, get expensive and become albatrosses. Enough already. |

Why would simmer only want 3-4 years lol. Where are you getting this nonsense. He's almost 30 he wants long term to take him through the down part of his career. You wish he would sign for 3 years but why in God's name would he do that?

No dude he's gonna do Boston and Boston only a favor by forcing the flyers to trade him there and signing for a reasonable 3 years so Boston isn't burdened with his contract when his play falls off in his 30s
Like simmer is a nice guy but he's not that nice hahaha |

Can't really see a logical deal to be made between Philly and Boston involving Wayne Simmonds. If Simmonds is going to be moved at the draft, and it's far from a given, at the very least a young NHL player, probably a center, and a 1st will be coming back to Philly.
I could see a team with an aging core like Minnesota trying to make one last push for a Cup, offering the 24th overall pick and a kid like Kunin for Simmonds. |

Ok let me rephrase that...Simmonds will want more, teams will not offer it. |

Exactly, a team looking for that other piece. Otherwise Simmonds doesn't make sense for a lot of teams. I believe Philly offers him a reasonable contract and he takes it. |

Bruins gave backes a long term deal and simmer is better. Edmonton have lucic long term. Someone will give simmer a long term. He won't sign for anything less than 5 x 7 mill. If he gets longer term tho the cap hit will go down |

Love Simmonds but I'm not sure what the Bruins could sacrifice to make it work and not have it be just a lateral move?
DeBrusk, McAvoy, Pastrnak, Bergeron and Marchand are no's.
Carlo as a starter maybe?
I dunno. They don't seem like good trading partners right now. |

rather just sign kovalchuk as a free agent and not trade anything |
