I'm open to going after ROR, but something other than CBJ 1st & prospect has to go the other way to even out the $$$.
CBJ can't take on $7.5MM for 5 yrs without sending something the other way - maybe Buffalo has to take Dubinsky's $5.8MM for 3 more.
You have to leave room to pay Panarin, Bob, Werenski. Even with the cap increase, the CBJ would be up against it.
What about Duchene ?? I doubt he wants to stay in the dumpster fire in Ottawa !! He's a UFA in 2019, like Panarin, but probably less $$ to re-sign. - birdie03
That's a hard pass |

Was a pleasure to watch Panarin last year. Even with a loss it was worth the price of admission to watch such a talent and competitor. Just wish others, ie Filigno, Dubi, Wennberg had contributed more. One never knows where it could have gone. |

Yeah I think some of you guys are missing the point. The two centerpieces for the trade would be O’Reilly and Panarin. Buffalo is not going to ship all Riley off for spare parts, the guy is a 60 point producer, top and defense of player and top face off man. No way he leaves Buffalo on that wonderful contract for anything less then another high-end player or exceptionally high first round pick and Prospect |

Could A. Panarin. For Max Pac and a second rounder (33rd overall) would do the trick ? - koarik91
LOLOL. That would not even get the phone answered. |

If Columbus wants to move on from Dubinsky, I would offer ROR, Okposo and 2019 SJS 1st for Panarin (extended at whatever he wants) and Dubinsky |

The guy won't extend on a playoff team. Why would he extend with Buffalo? |

Why would I want to take on Okposo @ $6MM for the next 5 yrs, when I only have Dubinsky @ $5.8MM for the next 3 ?? That's $12MM flushed !!
You can keep Okposo. |

Well Okposo is definitely better than Dubinsky at a similar salary. It's necessary to balance the salaries in and out of the teams
But I would upgrade the pick to 2019 Sabres 1st rounder |

Not even within sniffing distance. You’re going to toss in a second rounder like a little bonus? You’re talking third overall a prospect and patch To get the conversation going - halo63
For a (frank)ing rental, the same as Pacioretty? Delusional. He's good don't get me wrong, but the difference between him and Pacioretty is hardly big enough to get anything near the 3rd overall, let alone a prospect besides. |
