What do you call moving Eriksson - VANTEL
not enough for that awful albatross contract. Webers got maybe 2-3 years of being relavant. |

i think you're being generous considering he's on a pair of bionic knees and ankles
he's a slap shot and a shot blocker at this point in his career. |

This should put to rest any chance of us drafting Boqvist:
“He’s a good player in his own right,” said Benning. “Other guys just have a more well-rounded game.” - CanuckDon
JB is pretty crafty, making the GMs picking after us think we aren’t taking Boqvist. Very clever. |

That is 2-3 more years than Eriksson
The first 4 years of the deal are a wash . In 4 years you have a 4 mil cap hit that you received a second round pick for and a third.
You also lose 4.5 mil of Tanevs salary for 3 years and pick up a first round pick for this draft and maybe a prospect .
And after the four years he goes on LTIR just like Hossa and Pronger |

It's been said but easier to hide and bury a forward vs. a Dman |

I have no idea how you can consider taking on that contract/term, Eriksson would be great to get rid of but he can at least defend. That's honestly more than I can say about Weber on a lot of nights given his foot speed/injuries. |

Three draft picks ,burying a horrible contract , cap relief on Tanev to acquire another Dman and not having to wake up to this every day

He still counts against the cap I'm all for taking on bad salary for 2-3 years, not 7 years of 8 mil. Awful idea IMO. Trading dead weight for longer dead weight is pointless if all your getting is a 2nd and 3rd. |

In what way do we need "cap relief" on Tanev? By my measure I'd say he's locked down for about 1mil less than he's worth |

Montreal would have to send the 3rd to get the conversation started. |

When a player no longer plays for your team you no longer have to pay for his salary in most cases . That no longer salary is called cap relief ?
Are we seriously discussing what words mean now

Gadjovich is an average to below average skater in junior. Thats not #good - Lindenis#1
Basically a forward version of bouchard.... |
|
|
|
For the record
Weber had 4 less goals and 3 less assists in 26 games compared to Loui's 50 games
Just saying |

Bouchard at least has top end speed. Its his edgework that raises flags. |

I would do this. our recapture if he retires would not be huge either, it will primarily be on MTL and Nash |
