and you lose your best player, making your team so much more worse, just adding more value to that 1st round pick in 2019

Like I said the sens are screwed. They are going to have to trade away 2 of there best players bc of off ice stuff while entering a rebuild with no 1st round pick next year.

Avs are 100% in control of any talk when it comes to EKs trade ask when it involves that picks

Yup, we are screwed but doesn't make sense to get bent over for (again) by Colorado. We can make a much better trade with another team and odds are we luck out a higher position than last anyways. Even if we finish last odds are higher that the pick is 4th than top 3.

If you don't want that sexy Swede in your shirt, that's your choice. Enough other teams want him.

I dont think you get how sour of a taste that would be for a Fan base...we are trading away every thats good, we are rebuilding

BUT we won't have a top pick this year when there are some pretty high end elite talent in the Top of the 2019 draft. Sorry guys we will take some late 1st round picks from selling everyone off and hope they develop in 4 years to help out thats if there is any sign of coming out of a rebuild by t hen

Why would the Avs be in the business of helping out the Sens if it means they are giving up more than they have to.

Of course you don't (have to) help us out. That would be weird. I just think OTT-1st, COL-2nd, Timmins + some dump is a fair offer. But we will see if a deal with Colorado comes to fruition.

Like I mentioned before, if he has to leave the Sens I really do hope he ends up in Colorado.

Wilson and Soderberg won't be cap dumps bc they aren't against the camp so adding them isnt doing the avs a favour. One of the richest owners in the league vs whatever Melynk is.

They have 1-2 years left so whatever you just eat them and dont care even though Soderberg was decent last year.

Timmins is untouchable same as Makar after their WJCs and are a big part of the Avs future.

Otts 1st and barrie is as much as they probably should go, anything after that is over kill with how valuable Otts pick is to them

You rather give up Barrie than Timmins and a second? Having both Karlsson and Barrie on your team gives you a lot of opportunities on the powerplay.

I'll take that.

yes I would rather give up the 26 year old Dman who is 2 years away from UFA for the 28 year old Dman who is better and would be able to sign long term instead of giving up the 19 year old highly regarded kid on an ELC

Why would they give up high end prospects and picks when hey dont have to. Thats why Dorion is in this mess

Seems fair, but dont see the Sens need to getting a D-man back since they have three year pro Chabot on their roster.

I agree, good point.

Problem is if Eugene will pay him once his ELC is up

Maximum 18.5%, more likely 11.5% or less, per my sources

As always the truth is somewhere in the middle. If Avs have the chance to get Karlsson for a reasonable price they should jump on it. If OTT really wants their pick back then that is a good bargain chip, but to play stronghold and miss out on getting EK would be foolish.

Fair offer? Sens first, Timmins/Makar and some b-prospect/roster player. Seems fair for a (very good) player with 1 year term left that is uncertain to resign. If you cant get onboard with that COGA, you should sell your season tickets (for Subway that is)

still think Edmonton holds the hammer.

if Draisaitl is the offer, Karlsson plays with McDavid next year.
