If the Hawks are in on JvR, no way they move Toews. The point of that move would be to pair him with Toews.

All this Toews being traded talk has to officially stop, it's beyond BS. Of course a tad biased being a Hawks fan, but his cap + NMC = No deal.

Carolina would have to give up the organization to get Toews, and no way Tazer would accept it.

Toews is not moving unless Toews asks to be dealt—per a team source. And that would only be to a specific team or small set of teams. As of a few weeks ago, he had not asked to be dealt.

He has an NMC, team captain, 3 Cups, lots of endorsements in Chicago.

Avs will just keep your 1st round pick and wait for Karlsonn to hit free agency or quit playing for the Sens. Either way there is no need for them to give up essentially 3 first round picks and one of our top two dmen while the team is on the rise. Realistically, I could see Makar OR Timins plus your pick back and our first IF Karlsonn signed right away
