Whatever, I'm not the one who was throwing around "facts". You have no idea what they discussed. They are expressly forbidden to talk compensation during that period. I'm not naive, but with someone that big, all eyes would be on it.

If you don't think teams were talking contract and numbers you're crazy bro

It was a 48-hour window what do you think teams were doing?

Sorry, but I would kick Housley to the curb, I know people won't agree but he's not the guy to lead this team. I hope i'm wrong.

They're forbidden from talking compensation. They can speak in generalities. Lots of winks, nods, and nudging sure.

I’m siding with Gerbe. Stamkos dipped his feet in the water.

Andrei Svechnikov has apparently separated himself from the rest of the field eligible for the 2018 NHL Draft.

"If you want to know the truth," one scout said, "Svechnikov may be closer to

- SABRES 89[Rasmus] Dahlin for No. 1 than the rest of the field is to Svechnikov." Bob McKenzie's TSN Final Draft Rankings has Svechnikov as the consensus No. 2 prospect.

So, he's #2-3 all year, than after all the hockey is played for the year, somehow he rockets to just as good a Dahlin. Yeah, makes perfect sense.

Thanks, I love how a professional writer says "you can be bumhole too." Goes to show the editors do the real work.

This "one scout" (aka a butthurt leafs fan) can (frank) off.

Dahlin's ours. Sucks to suck. You're not going to ruin this by speculating that the #2 pick somehow is better than "the best defensive prospect in the last quarter of a century."

Could you imagine how they would call us idiots if we took Svech at #1.

It was a Lina scout. Thinking he could pull the wool over Botts’ eyes. Oldest trick in the book. Little did he know Botts was already getting his 40 winks in.

I've been wanting to post this for so long but keep forgetting to but I just have to know why is the go to answer from Toronto fans when it comes to signing a Big Name Player "Well, we will pay him 7X3M and just give him 20M in endorsements? Is it just stupidity or am I missing something?

Ok now time to read article and back-read will be back to see replies.

It happens every year. What if the Oilers take Eichel? With if the Leafs take Laine? What if the Devils take Patrick?(well, ok, that last one was sort of a legit question) The number 2 guy always gets a bump the closer to the draft we get.

Jesus too.

Remember even before he played a game for the Oilers they were talking about he was bolting at the end of his ELC. Somehow.
