It was weird how McCabe followed almost the exact route as McNabb. Big defenseman who could really throw the body and jump into the rush if needed. Start off looking every bit of the player we expected to be. Year two hits...they start to look lost in their own end. The big hits stop. The offensive production slows. And they end up "expendable."

EDIT: I bet if we trade him there will be a few people on here who constantly bring up the trade to talk about how JB got hosed.

I've always liked McCabe. He looked really bad last year, but if he was injured pretty much all season, that explains a lot. LD is just a bit of a logjam right now. If they tap into that to address other needs, I won't complain at all.

Ya, that's more of an NFL mentality. If they like him, I think they just make the pick. If they trade down and miss out, there's not another C even close in the rankings. Also think Detroit will probably be happy with whoever drops to them.
