Couple things:

$4 million is not more than what Kucherov got

Kucherov signed his deal 2 years ago

Kucherov and his agent bet on himself with the bridge deal, and barring a major injury he won as he will be signing a $10 million contract

His point totals are right with Victor Rask

Rask makes $4 million

You're wrong.

Find me a 50 point player that isn't on his ELC that isn't making $4 million (and isn't a 1 hit wonder)

“Montreal needs a center bad, they are making offers for Oreilly but nothing worth biting on yet. May have to wait for after the draft for a big trade to happen , or at least official word that Tavares is resigned with the islanders. Montreal is getting aggressive though because they don’t want someone else trading for ROR right out from under them. Botts not high on the prospect of getting pacioretty back due to age and cap hit, but would if there was another good piece or prospect added to the trade. JB high on drouin but as dumb as bergevin has been moves wise, he is reluctant to give Drouin up because of how much he gave up to get him. Going to be interesting honestly.” - Sabres Intel

Take it for what you will. If it’s right, it’s right. If it’s wrong, it’s wrong.

3rd Overall for ROR or no deal.

There is no player on Montreal that I want. Price makes way too much. Pacioretty, although a good goal scorer, is just too old to fit into our rebuild plans. Drouin is NOT going to be traded by them. Everyone else on the Habs...who the hell cares.

Max Domi has 36 goals in his NHL career in 3 seasons

Sam Reinhart has 65 in his 3 seasons

Goal scorers get more money plain and simple

$4 million-$4.25 million for 2 or 3 year bridge deal

Explain to me how that is a mistake?

50 points, in basically 2/3rd of the year

He is a 50-55 point player

Those guys get paid way more than $4 million in today's NHL.

He is a good player, he isn't a stud but we need more good players.

His lack of speed didn't prevent him from producing when they put him back on the wing and let him play his game.

If he is signing for 4.5 then in my mind that should be a long term deal it be dumb signing him to that and the 2 years later 5m or 5.5 for 6

Nowhere did I say $4.5 million

Also if he puts up 55 points this year and next year he is going to be getting $6 million in 2 years regardless.

Cap goes up, contracts go up.

It's a fact of life.

Also I would have no problem paying a 24 year old 55 point player $6 million a year i

If the Sabres offered sam a Wayne, viktor arvidsson contract then fine sign him long term it be a better signing then waiting 2 years then paying him 5.5

Looking at other potential ROR trade partners, CBJ isn't super deep down the middle. Wennberg really came back to earth. I'm guessing they would never move Dubois, but what about bringing Nick Foligno back to Buffalo?

I know he's their captain, but the team underperformed this year.

jenner and milano or no deal

I want 2 players with upside for ror, not a player that may produce or may not

Foligno would add a ton of leadership and he plays LW. I'm not saying straight up, but ROR for Foligno and a prospect

Foligno is 30

I'd rather have Patches if that's the route they want to go

Both are too old for a ROR deal unless the prospect coming back is a stud
