Vancouver will take Boquist or Kotkniemi over Tkachuk I bet if there still available. Canucks need skill depth at center and on defense. More a priority then wingers at this point. I think Tkachuk drops out of top 10. Defense and Centers are more important positions all things being close to equal. I hope that's how Benning sees it. |

I agree with seeing Bouchard maxing out as a Carlson but with a lower floor while I see Dobson having the ceiling of Pietrangelo but being a safe bet at being at least a solid bottom pairing guy. His skating and mind for the game are superior to Bouchard's from what I've seen. Also, Bouchard doesn't put forth the kind of effort I like to see from top prospects and also makes a lot of dumb reads. That's not uncommon for draft eligible Dmen, but it should be something you're wary of when drafting a guy in the top-10. - MaximumBone
Just give us Dahlin and all is forgiven. |

1.5mil for Caggiula is 500k too much for what he brings right now. Better players can be found for 800k in the offseason. Gotta hope that he can actually figure out how to defend and play a possession game this year to be worth that. |

1.5 million is (frank) all for a 3rd/4th liner... I think he will be fine if they play him in a checking line roll and not as a top six forward. |

Completely agree. We are paying Helm, Abdelkader, and Glendening 10 mil between them. |

My issue is that he isn't a 3rd liner and 1.5 is too much to pay for a 4th liner if you plan on icing a competitive top-6 with McDavid and Drai on those contracts. Along with Kassian's contract, we've allocated 3.4mil to a pair of guys who shouldn't play more than 11 minutes a game.
Sure, he can improve but you shouldn't pay your bottom-6 for potential. |

Did you not see the title? I said this is exactly what will happen. Personally I like Dobson more but I wouldn't be surprised if Ottawa thinks Bouchard has better upside. - freelancer
We all saw the title and how it is similar to the titles EK uses for his blogs. Congratulations on being on the job for only 3 weeks and already plagiarizing other peoples work.
I also bet you a 6 pack you only get 3 out of the 10 picks at the draft correct. |

Dobson has a way higher ceiling
He’s the best dman in the draft behind dahlin
Bouchard is gonna be good, but a solid two way 2nd pairing guy most likely
I’d take him. But only if Boqvist isn’t there. No chance dobson is. |

I honestly wouldn't take Bouchard. I'd take Smith over him; I'd sooner trade down and grab Miller and one of Bokk or Dellandrea. |

I'm good for it. If I lose I will email money transfer Mr. Baloney the necessary funds to purchase a domestic 6 pack of beer. No imports. And none of that cheap crap from the east coast. |

Well 2 years at 1.5 mill per is essentially a no move for Caggiula. |

You want Brendan Smith. Let me call Gorton for a tacksie backsie. Sure Holland could get Juice, Yammer, and two firsts for him with Chia. |

Well he is young so there is the potential factor. I also think he's been (frank)ed around here a bit. They need to clearly identify his role and let him play it.
He did score 13 goals so that also allows me to not hate this deal.
It will be a problem however if he's on the 4th line in march and only has 5 goals. |

Karlsson wasn't really hyped entering the NHL. Otherwise he would have went before #15. 6 defenseman were drafted before him, including some guy named Colten Teubert by LA |
