That 2008 draft was either all or nothing. - tomburton99
Yeah, if you look at that first round, some great players throughout the round and some absolute busts as well.

Del Zotto is probably the reason they didn't pick Fowler I think |

Hearing #NHLBruins are amongst a growing list of teams that have inquired with #Canucks on the 7th overall pick. GM Don Sweeney has been very open about his desire to acquire 1st rd pick but not sure what ask from VAN would be.

If only they didn't just trade for this man.

Way too early to tell about the latter.
You could argue McIlrath over Tarasenko, but 15 teams passed on Tarasenko...kinda hard to get one them about that. - eichiefs9
Or the fact like 20 teams passed on Kuzy |

You guys with your hate and intolerance for Nash is more ridiculous than my opposing feelings for him. Just sayin'. You act like he was the worst Ranger ever to wear the sweater. |

That is what happens when you come to a big market, get hurt more often than not, fail to score consitently and then disappear for long stretches in the playoffs. That is the deal. |

ultimately all I care about now is the haul we got from Boston in that trade
I don't see the need to think about his Ranger legacy much anymore, good or bad |

You can have what ever you want.
Ultimately, we all have our own opinions. I get that. I just have a hard time pushing all the good aspects of his time here to the side to fixate solely on his deficiencies. |

He was just the poster boy for everything the team has lacked for the last 5 yrs or so. Leadership, emotion, finishing and killer instinct. He was not alone in this however |

True. But Rick Nash had 7 straight seasons of 50 + points in Columbus . Only had 1 with the Rangers
He never had double digit PP goals, only once had double digit PP poinnts. |

to be fair though, he was fantastic in the lockout shortened 2013 season and would have easily gotten 70 points that year if it was full year |

5 years of some pretty good success, without all the things you mentioned though. Mb the best 5 year period of success the Rangers have had since the 70's |

He completely lost me after the Tb series. It started in the LA series tho, missing the wide open net. I just couldn’t forgive him, the sob |

What about 28 for Carlo? Reminds me a lot of Girardi, solid stay at home guy that can play on the top pair against other teams top lines just not going to light up the scoresheet. |
