Agreed it was, but how many years have we been saying, man these prospects are going to tear it up in Buffalo.

I have never seen this city more excited about two prospects than Kassian and Foligno.

true story...that said, the sabres haven't had two legit top-six centers since drury/briere and they have that now...in fact they're looking at three right now

Who?
- sbroads24

Depends what the goal is.

Core change: Lehner, Bogo, Okposo.

Cap clearing: Okposo, Moulson, Pommer

Aquire good players: Scandella, McCabe, Nylander

I'm not saying "don't move 90, 23, 55"

I'm saying don't move all 3, and don't move them for futures, and don't do it just to do it

A buddy of mine spent the train ride from buffalo to albany with an NHL ref who seems to think the dramatic uptick in reinharts play was due to an intervention to stop the drugs and partying.

Just hear say though.

A. I wouldn't move all 3
B. You aren't doing it just to do it, you are doing it because you were 31st.

I mean... that's a harsh take but some truth to it... he did only have 11 pts up to December 1st came around. Then 36 in Dec/Jan/Feb. It takes awhile to get in your groove.

Jack only had 15 pts from January to the end of the season though. It's a game of streaks.

you said half the wingers couldn't accept a pass or score...I said skunk did plus there was the added bonus of him being able to pass...

not everyone in the league is fast...Patrice Bergeron isn't your kind of fast, but he gets the job done rather well...jvr isn't fast and claude Giroux isn't superfast...Tavares skates very well but would be considered slow by your standards....

not every player on every team is fast...they may play fast, but they're not speed-burners

so has he stopped and what we saw the second half the season what we should expect?

he still is slow and doesn't fit the team model though.. we need speed (not the drug kind) for eichel

skunk has nhl speed and he's done very well on Eichel's wing...his angels are great and his stickwork is exceptional...he thinks the game 2 steps ahead which allows him to play faster than he is

was told that a lot of the team's issues this season emanated from locker room dissention

I think this speed thing is getting overblown... you need those players to set the pace at times but you don't need EVERY player to be that. If that was the case then Michael Grabner would be the most sought after player in the NHL.

You need guys who can bury the puck 25 times in a "half" of a season.

I only would deal ROR, Risto, or Sam in deals that got us understandably better... not going to trade them for hopefuls or prospects.

You can see how his attitude changed over the years he was supposed to be captain and can't miss leader in the organization

But you can thank Kane for some of his attitude changes him and Kane hung out alot

The young guys loved Kane beause he was the cool dude that knew the parties

But Kane did change his ways maybe he woke up

Interesting offer I just saw a fan make for ROR to MTL.

MTL gets:
ROR
Moulson

BUF gets:
Pacs (signed to extension)

No money retained.

That's A LOT of money leaving the books.. Pacs is a 4 time 30+ goal scorer before a down year this year. He is a top line LW caliber player at age 29.

Moulson has only one year remaining on his deal and his $5m cap-hit should have no affect on the sabres this year...

not enough from mtl, imo

How many years do we have to say this? I feel like it has been said for the last 8 years+

Grigorenko, Pysyk, McNabb, Zadorov, Girgensons, Kassian, Foligno, Myers, Ennis, Adam, Gerbe, etc etc.

- ImThatGuy

I don't think anyone would ever confuse that group with Eichel, Reinhart, Mittelstadt, O'Reilly, Nylander, Ristolainen, Dahlin, McCabe, Guhle and Ullmark.
