If the Leafs hire Doug Weight as an assistant coach before the UFA talking period, is that considered tampering? - PatC80
I think the plan is to hire him as an assistant to scout Jim Vesey.
We will be guaranteed two good players! |

Give him a front office job. Executive VP of paper clips has a nice ring to it. |

How long does spezza have left? If it’s only a year that would be a good deal. Leafs don’t have cap issues next year. |

that's the risk. he could be useless. but i think his underlying #'s are decent still.
works if dallas wants to dump him based on point totals and caphit. |

Isn't Honka like 5'8?
Think we need some size on the backend. |

Had a presentation from a company that owns a very popular weather app today, showing the data they can collect.
Among other things was a live map of every single person in Canada who was using their app at that moment(or had it set up to provide location data even when off). I love this industry. |

No, we're signing him and then trading for Trouba and a prospect. |

LeBrun on #NHLCanes: "I think Jeff Skinner will be the first one out, Canes are asking for a 1st RD pick and a prospect, they're also listening on Justin Faulk and to some degree on young d-man Noah Hanifin, they want to change the team in Carolina."
We need to get Pesce and Victor Rask somehow. |

That is a fun list, but the White House was burned by Brits not Canadians, and a bunch of stuff on that list wasn't actually invented by Canadians. Canadians did invent IMAX and JAVA though. And insulin is pretty crucial. Poutine should be on that list too.
Tim Horton's is just an embarrassment to the country. |

Ketchup chips and Tylenol 222s...and the (frank)ing bloody Caesar...the Caesar is the true test of if someone is a Canadian, if they know what that drink is and they love it and can't (frank)ing live without it |

"The Brits" burning down the White (power) House is a false talking point Americans use. The British never really had an army in Canada at that time, they were busy fighting elsewhere. They never really sent any reinforcements either. The war was fought mostly around the issue land-grabbing form the natives in America (see tecumseh). The stupid ass Americans feeling bold from their dumb revolution thought it would be pretty cool of them to invade parts of Upper Canada. But Canadians, as they were called at the time, formed militias and fended off the American invasions, for the most part. At no point did "the British" give commands to any army to burn down the White House. It was dudes who were from Ontario who took names and kicked ass. Canada wasn't a country at the time, but they were still Canadians. |
