He's 5'11.5" 165lbs

That's not that small. That's pretty average, actually.

Has he been checked for tapeworm?

That's really not so terrible.

Kotkaniemi is 6'2.25" and weights 181.5

He's almost 3" taller and only weighs another 16.5lbs And he's been having success playing against men in Finland's top league as a 17yo. I wouldn't worry too much about their weight right now.

Oh I know just busting balls. I think I was 5'11" as a sophomore in HS and at 165.

Its just funny how when you get a little older and you read these sizes you automatically think holy poop thats small! Forgetting they could easily put on muscle and height at their ages.

A friend of mine went from like 5'7 to 6'4 in 3 years from 14-17. It was almost disturbing.

Yeah, this is also the absolute worst time to read/discuss/whatever draft prospects. Anyone that's interested has, at least, a general working knowledge of who these kids are, where they are ranked, how they play, etc... Now everyone just starts nitpicking over the stupidest crap about their game/size/etc... and it's awful. I believe May of 09 was about the time you started to see articles like "Should the Islanders take Duchene over Tavares?" and stuff like that

Yes, it was. I never thought the Islanders would do it, but there was some intrigue about it.

On here, I'm not gonna get Zadina unless I overpay. IDK what you want me to do. I have to hope he gets into 4th and the shot I have at getting the 4 is zero because 9479.

Him rising and Boqvist (and maybe Tkachuk) falling are probably going to be the big surprises of the top-10.

Until the Rangers draft Merkley at 9, anyway.

I remember seeing an article or two questioning it. It definitely wasn't a "thing", but people run out of stuff to write and that's when the dumb stuff starts coming out.

They wouldn't give you Karlsson alone for all those picks and Lias Andersson

This Tkachuk to the Habs at 3 is really starting to make me wonder. It seems like everyone is on that now. Maybe it's a Habs smoke screen, but who knows.

Then, frankly, the Ottawa Senators are mentally challenged. One year left on contract, beat to poop the last couple of years, and wants to make 50 gagillion dollars. Might not be a huge market for that if the Sens ask for the sun, stars, moon, etc.

If they take Tkachuk, a winger, over Zadina, who is also a winger....I got nothing. I'll firmly believe that Bergevin is the worst GM in the league if he does that.

Taking Kotkaniemi or a defenseman over Zadina...fine, at least they would have addressed their weaknesses at center or defense. Still an utterly terrible idea, but at least there was a halfway-legitimate reason behind it.

Someone will give up a hell of a lot more than that for Karlsson. I don't think they'd even need to entertain the idea. There's exactly one valuable pick in that package and a good-not-great prospect.

I think Karlssons best years are behind him. Plus his next contract is going to be ridiculous. I personally wouldn’t want him.

Yeah, you are just dogging the Rangers by saying that Andersson is just a good prospect. That is a Herschel Walker type trade package that would turn into a total disaster for the team giving up all those picks.

I am beginning to think you are mentally challenged as well.
