I find it odd Ranger fans want a pretty good rival winning the cup. Gotta be honest haha. Granted I vomited for two days in a row when Pitt won b2b, if the caps do it may only be one day. It doesn’t feel great seeing the caps on the verge here

I wanted Winnipeg. Vegas makes me mad.

I don't like seeing Washington win it but it's not like they went through the Rangers to do it.

The Vegas story is just to good to not like. The whole shooting and then defying all odds. If anyone thought they had a SCF team after the draft I’d like to meet them, unless you thought that I don’t think you have leg of hate to stand on with them.

That's all fine and good and I get it. It's a really good story and I do like the team. Management did a great job putting it together. But first season? I just can't.

I have no leg to stand on.

Not saying it’s been happening this year, but anyone that’s gonna continue to bash Oshie and or Orpik needs to watch this series more closely, they have been huge for them. For years I’ve seen them both killed relentlessly

I was thinking the same thing about Oshie. He should have few critics at this point.

Washington has it all going right now. That was the series dagger right there.

Oshie needed to have less of a leadership role. I think that's helping him this season, he's been great in the playoffs.

Holtby has hit another level this series which is ultimately why they’re gonna win this cup. But Ovechkin has never been more engaged DEFENSIVELY the he has been this year, he has taken that part of the game off for years, to be fair. That Nintendo controller gif thing has been used more then any gif I’ve ever seen and it was for a good reason, he was always terrible defensively. He finally bought in this year. His offense was never an issue. For the record I’ve never for a single day hated Ovie, and Sid for instance I hate more then any player in history.

I agree with you tj on Ovi being the postseason MVP if the Caps don't blow their 3-1 games lead. Fleury was the likely leader through Game #1 of the Finals, and must stand on his head as he did in Round One's sweep of the Kings when allowing only a total of 3 goals, (despite Vegas only netting 7 on Quick), for the Knights to have any hope of making a miracle comeback. If that somewhat occurs, then he would be the MVP.
But barring a 3 games, Gretzky like performance by another Knights player, if Fleury is not the main factor should the Knights pull a miracle, you may see for the first time since ONLY Reggie Leach did so as a SKATER for the losing Flyers in the 1976 Cup Finals, with Ovi still winning the Conn Smythe Trophy if his great play persists through a possible Game 7. In NHL history, four goalies have won the Conn Smythe despite being on the Cup Finals loser.
As you said, Ovi is also engaged DEFENSIVELY this postseason. But he is even more so engaged in playing HARD SKATING TWO WAY hockey on every shift, as opposed to past postseasons when being lazy defensively, or simply coming back too slowly defensively only when he felt like coming back at all.
I also agree that Holtby's play just came around in the ECF. If the Caps don't blow this series, he should not be MVP due in key to making one of the all time best, but also lucky postseason saves in that last minute plus of Game Two to preserve a 1 goal lead. That, despite it in effect, being then recognized as the single turnaround game point of this series.

so at the end of the day, the reality is, the Western Conference just sucks

that's how an expansion team made the finals

Look on the bright side, at least you're updating the world on sporting events that nobody could possibly care any less about and being mocked for it
