Is it possible the Oil are thinking about anything other than one of the big defencemen. How obvious does it have to be - Hardbalz
Not that obvious. We have a few good D prospects already and our core is still young. We need wingers more than anything. |

I personally would like to see someone’s with some muscle and finishing ability. - Larsson_fan
The player in question I want to talk about certainly has some muscle and can hit like a rock |

Had it not been for Simmonds upcoming contract status and how that may play out, he would have been a good candidate if this is the criteria involved as mentioned above (a finisher with grit). |

Well if we believe anything Chia says he did say they were not looking at any of the BIG ufa’s at all. |

That’s still somewhat meh. I’m thinking I’d rather they moved it. Maybe it could be packaged with our 2nd to the Rangers for pick 26 or 28 and the rights to Namestnikov? - Wildschwein
Depends on how badly the Rangers want someone at 10. They have three firsts I think. I would try and see about getting the Flyers pick from St Loo. |

If Wilson plays on any other team, i think his suspension time goes up if he continues his poop. I believe he gets let off due to him being a Caps player - their 'brand' lends itself to hard tough (read that as illegal ), play that continues on through games. Where as if he did poop here & there it would be more noticeable & get more attention. Going to be intèresting if he does see more suspensions next year after copping 3(?) so far this season. Also, him declining fights after he makes suspect hits isn't good in my opinion. |

What sort of assets go the other way? |

Yeah he’s a douche. But I cannot deny a certain fondness of the idea of his deuche-ness being unleashed upon the Flames. |

Well the way Ducks & weaves invitations to fight he might get himself suspended before any derby with the Fłames just so he isn't front & centre if/when poop goes down. |

You mean getting the St.Louis pick from the Flyers? I am not aware of St.Louis having any of our Picks. We get St.Louis' 1st from the Schenn trade. |

I'd hit up Philly and see about 10 for 14 (or 19) and their 2nd and draft my boy Bokk |

Purely depth move. He was by all accounts a great influence on Bear and Jones and was an excellent, stable partner for both in different situations. With Simpson likely on the way out and a collection of young D on their way in, a veteran presence is valuable. |
