Ignoring the fact that Kovy seems to want a multi-year deal and Point and Kucherov's big paydays are just a year away, then sure. I highly HIGHLY doubt Tampa would put their future at risk like that, though. There'd have to be a major concession on Kovy's side to make it work.

I don't think it would risk their future as long as they get creative with what they can do. The way Yzerman has structured this team gives them a lot of flexibility in terms of options.

I think they can manage the Kovy contract by giving him a 6x2 and allocating performance bonuses within that contract. Florida has some really low tax rates which will work to their advantage in this case.

Next year, Girardi (will be 35), Coburn (34), Stralman possibly (32), and Budaj (36) will be coming off the books. That's about 12m in cap space that can possibly open up.

Kucherov will get something less than what Stamkos got. 8m would be a safe bet. Can't see him getting more honestly, especially if he wants to stay on the team and win as an objective.
Point will likely be given a bridge if Kovy is signed. 4m for 2-3 sounds like a safe bet. Bonuses will probably be included.
Gourde though. If he replicates what he has produced this year, then he may end up getting anywhere from 4-6m. He could also be traded...
Then there is also the case of RMcD. He might get a 3-4y with TBL at most likely the same cap hit or he could go strike it rich with another team.

Gourde, imo might be traded to bring in a (prospect?) defender to balance out the team if he replicates this year's results.

Worst case scenario. You let RMcD go. Callahan might need to be bought out of his last year. That does clear up 2.4m in cap space and sees him being paid 2.4 per year for 2. Gourde might be traded, but the core is intact and you'll have your key players signed to long-term deals on good contracts. Plus we still don't know how much the cap will go up as well.

But then again, you may also have Cirelli (already there), Foote, Sergachev (already there), Stephens, and possibly Masin on ELC's and in the NHL by then. Their prospect depth is quite well established and will do them wonders at this point in time.

It mostly has to do with how I was raised up. Being from a strict Catholic background, it was the mentality that was imposed that made me back off from any advances from women in general during junior high and high school. I've definitely had women flirt with me and I liked it, but the mentality made me scared to approach them and develop a relationship because of the way my family viewed it in general. I was scared of how they would react if they found out. They thought the whole BF/GF concept in high school was stupid and that you have to wait until you are old enough to do it all in one go and get married to the first one.

But then again, their ancient tradition as middle easterns (Chaldeans for those that wanna look this poop up) is so out of touch with reality it's disgusting. They treat my sister like she can't do poop and be independent. What they go by is ridiculous in general.

I'll definitely want to strike up a relationship with a girl that I care about someday, but I don't want to force it. If that happens now, great, if not, ah well. Time will tell. I'm young and I have other priorities in life that should also be taken into account. Education, career advances, focusing on my hobbies, exploring the world, and creating things.
