I don't know what is more terrible about this story.

That Avery has little toy dogs he sends to a groomer or that the groomer expects to be tipped.

Is that a common thing to tip a dog groomer? Never taken a dog to a groomer.

Do you go to someone to have your hair cut and if so do you tip them?

Why would it be so hard to find a place for the gate at Xfinity Live?

I realize that my age probably obliges me to consider Xfinity Live a big disappointment, but the entire place stands of the grounds of the former Spectrum.

How in the blue (frank) can one of those geniuses that runs Xfinity NOT be able to find something to do with that gate, which actually comes with a cool story and is part of the lore of the building they tore down to make room for a building that practically gives me a headache everytime I walk in?

You definitely tip groomers. I used to work at a boarding facility/daycare, and during the holidays, groomers would make it rain with tip money.

The Gate, another Spectrum classic!

Man, I miss that building, you felt like you were right on top of the ice. I gotta think between Flyers games and concerts, I must of been in that joint at least 500 times.

It was like my second home.

The great things about those old buildings (especially the Spectrum) was the lack of facilities in the boxes so if you went down during game play you'd never know who you'd run into in the hallways or bathrooms. I can't recall the number of conversations I engaged in or over heard in that place with NHL personnel.

It was a different experience. Closest to it was attending the draft a few years ago.

I was at that game which I believe was a preseason game. The funniest thing was watching the players empty the benches as they ran back to join the hallway fight. Then they fought their way in pairs back out to the ice. WWE couldn’t have done a finer production. It was great.

Deciding to spend money for someone to watch your pet is a big waste of money in itself, no way I'd pay more than I was supposed to.

Of course, this is one of the reasons why I don't own a dog.

I dont know what annoys me about players milling around and chatting after a game with the other team, but it really does. I mean, if your a competitive person, you do not want to hang around with a team that just beat you.... no sir. I dont like it.
- youarewrong

I can sense the sarcasm but I want to offer an actual opinion on something related:

Sportsmanship is great, however I despise "immediate" sportsmanship. Let me explain. If someone just scored a game winning goal to eliminate me from the playoffs, and I'm laying face down on the ice almost in tears (or in tears) the absolute last thing I want to hear is an opponent say "hey man, lift you chin up. You're a hell of a player". I'd want to knock you teeth out. Leave me alone to cope with the agony of defeat and save your bs. Go celebrate, bumhole.

This is provided it was a "big game". Regular season losses by all means I'm gonna chat it up with an opponent that just beat me- I've done that plenty of times.

That being said, once the immediate shock of agony is gone, I am very open to handshake lines and stuff like that because it's after that knee jerk agony reaction window has closed. It's hard to explain, silly and probably makes me sound a like a big bumhole, but I don't care, I'm a little drunk because I got offered a job

Yes and yes.

However, for some reason, I can wrap my head around tipping for a haircut but not a groomer.

This may have been covered in a previous thread and I missed it, but what ever happened to Koresenkov? Was he signed by another team or will he be available for training camp?

"The NBA is complicit in having basically hoisted this guy onto the 76ers when they weren't happy with the Sam Hinkie/tanking/Jah situation. Somebody in the association needs to own up to that."

Read this comment on a philly.com story about this nonsense. Well put

I believe he is eligible for the draft this year again, and will then be a free agent for good if he goes undrafted.
