Who would you rather trade for:

Player A

Career 0.58 G60 and 2.19 P60

Player B

Career 0.65 G60 and 2.18 P60

Both players are forwards in their early 20s.

- Feds91Stammer

A is Domi

B is Drouin

Would you trade Sheary, Simon, and a 2nd for Drouin?

Yes, if he didn't have a cap hit of $5.5M for 4 more years.

That is a pretty manageable cap hit no?

Manageable, yes. Par for what he brings, hell no.

Like I said, he's a good complimentary player. If he made $3.5M-$4M, then I'd be fine with him, as far as cap hit goes.

It's weird, but i get the sense if the Penguins decide to trade Kessel, Shero and the Devils just seem like the destination.

Except this thing exists:

CLAUSE DETAILS: Player submits a 8 team trade list

They are an up and coming team. Made the playoffs this past year and have a ton of cap space to add.

Okay sure and why would Kessel choose to go there?

Because he hates the spotlight, remember? I think a fan base that fluctuates between 5 and 11 is his kind of team.

Where can we send him then? Obviously he needs to be traded.

New Jersey - their fan may not even notice
Philadelphia - after the 3rd beer bottle to the head, he won't even know what's going on
Buffalo - once they start booing him when he scores, he'll forget that he's playing for the home team

That clause is tough. It's the reason Pittsburgh was able to get him so cheaply....AND get TO to eat some salary as well.

However, If you believe the relationship is so strained it's possible (not probable) that Phil might open things up to more teams so he can get away from a coach that he doesn't like.

Personally, I believe Phil will be playing in Pittsburgh next year and most of this rumor stuff is over-blown.

Shearys a one year wonder, Simon is the worst Sullivan little speedy non impact player yet and the Pens organization isn’t thinking past the Sid/Malkin window. So yeah trade for Domi. The skill difference between the two is easily seen from a soccer fan, one just got to play with Crosby.

I cannot imagine the ice being good at all tonight. Just came from the pool and it said 101 degrees... If its brutal Id imagine there will be a lot of dump and chase and board play. Hope not though. Time to head to Game 2! Little tailgate action outside of the rink first!

I can't see Philbo being traded either. Too valuable to the team & sometimes it's better the Devil you know than risk going the devil you don't.

Wondering if Brassard might be a player that's thrown into discussion with the Yotes for Domi?

I don't know Kessel from a hole in the wall, but my guess is AZ is not a team on his list of teams he'd accept a trade to.
