ya those movies are garbage. Now that I think of it. Mostly every Star Wars movie does suck. I'm not sure why I seem to like the franchise though lol

Andersen was definitely good during the regular season, but was one of the worst Leafs during the playoffs - especially in the early games against Boston when he just seemed off in every way. I'm worried that he's the type of goalie who just can't perform under pressure . McBackup is just that, a backup - nothing more. Why on Earth would we sacrifice Sparks or Pickard to save him? That would be silly stupid. Trade him away for a 4th or 5th (Edmonton, I'm looking at you) and go with one of the AHL all-stars as backup to push Freddy while also giving him more of a break.

He's not wrong though. Those movies are unbelievably bad. They didn't age well. Even the original Star Trek is WAY better.

It protects them from the shame of having people see how ugly they are so that's not 100% accurate.

Promote Sparks, unless a team desperate for goaltending is willing to over pay. Perhaps Sparks and a package of picks / prospects for one of the Canes Dmen....Pesce?

You should watch the family guy parodies of star wars.

I can't imagine Dubas is going to sell on Pickard and Sparks just to keep McBackup with the Leafs next year. It sucks to move on from a guy who had that kind of season, but he's 35. Sure it'd be easier if he had his ups and downs to move on. But at the same time Sparks has dominated the AHL. He's done everything you could as of him. Nothing you can get from a trade will be worth what you are giving up. Pickard has played in the NHL as a starter at times and he had minimal value.

Decisions will have to be made and can't imagine Dubas isn't going to keep Sparks and figure out what to do with Pickard and McBackup.
