It's also possible, that a minimum wage 3rd assistant trainer got a few bucks to plant the stick.

What's this about Bingo? Is Freidman out to lunch?
- PatC80

I think it's a situation where the Canes desperately need to add offense and excitement to their lineup, and Hanifin is the most valuable asset they can afford to trade.

Nobody on the roster (except Aho) is going to give you as big of a return as you'll get for Hanifin and losing him hurts, but isn't the end of the world with Fleury and Bean behind him on the depth chart.

Wins still is a big factor..which is pretty weak

imo Helleb, Rinne or Gibson should win it this year..Id lean to Gibson...honorable mention to Raanta

5v5

Most shots against
3rd in HDCA
2nd in TOI
1st in Dzone faceoffs

All on a team that's in the midst of a rebuild and has what a lot of guys call "shat D"

IMO he was right up there as 1 of our MVP's this year...if not our MVP.

There's better goalies out there, but they also have better D *cough* Rinne...pretty sure I read HB's top analytic guy pushing for Rinne to be bought out a year or 2 ago.

So what is a fair trade for Hanifin?

He went ON the ice with the illegal stick. Demers, Carbo and other experienced players noticed it wasn't the first time he did as he had done the same in game 1.

They waited for the perfect opportunity to use that knowledge.

Don't try and make this some sort of Patriots-like cheating tactics. Habs won the cup fair and square. You can never take that away from them, no matter how much you would love to.

2 cups 86/93

The rest are a farce....

Top 10 pick and a roster player, or a young, NHL ready forward prospect with 50+ point potential.

It seems unlikely unless the trade gets more complicated.

I guess it depends on how aggressive Dubas wants to be in fixing the back end. I do think with the way Noah skates he could definitely be Babcock's guy.

I agree, but I doubt he moves Nylander, maybe Kadri, in the unlikely event that they sign JT. And I agree that Hanifin is the best trade chip

I hope we don't trade Kadri...he's 1 of the few that bring some grit.
