The dialogue is still fantastic, but the special effects are....well, not that special.
When Ben Gardiner's head (missing an eye) comes out of the boat, man, it was scary.
Today, you just kinda think, "why did the shark attack a $7 zombie Hallowe'en lawn ornament?" |

I refuse.
Much the same as my refusal to watch any of the Slapshot sequels.
You want to talk about a movie that's probably funnier today?
Slapshot.
It's so politically incorrect, it just makes it that much more outrageous. |

Michael Ironside recalled his experiences on the film: "Yeah, listen, I hated that script. We all did. Me, Sean, Chris... we all were in it for the money on this one. I mean, it read as if it had been written by a thirteen year old boy. But I'd never played a barbarian swordsman before, and this was my first big evil mastermind type. I figured if I was going to do this stupid movie, I might as well have fun, and go as far over the top as I possibly could. All that eye-rolling and foaming at the mouth was me deciding that if I was going to be in a piece of poop, like that movie, I was going to be the most memorable (frank)ing thing in it. And I think I succeeded."
This is the movie where they learn they were all aliens.

you actually can see the steel rails the shark is moving on in one of the scenes..
when I catched a rerun of that first Jaws, I was so surprised by the special effects quality.. completely different from my memory (I thought it was so realistic at the time) |

He sucks.
Okay, well, he doesn't suck, he's just small and isn't anywhere near as good as some want to believe. |

Andersen has been quite bad when it matters most - during the playoffs.
your rankings are fantasy so not really the same of 'who is the best goalie in NHL rankings'.
Honestly, Robin Lehner on Leafs would give same results as Andersen.
The issue is, you would like to get a top goalie on your team (similar to Lundqvist in his prime, the Price, Holtby, etc. category). - MaximusAurelius
Lehner? Lehner???? Best laugh I had all week...
You guys are ridiculous! Andersen had a strong year. For several months he was being mentioned in Vezina territory despite facing millions of shots. Imagine if we actually had D who could play D?
Andersen disappointed me in game 7 like I am sure he disappointed you as well, but lots of other guys did as well. Gardiner (obvious) but hell, even Matthews.
Andersen is the best goalie we have had since Eddy and you homers want to get rid of him?
As for Sparks, I agree with what others have already said. His rebound contract is aweful... Until he deals with this he cannot handle the 25 ish games we need from a backup.

Han, Luke, Leia and Chewey are in a corridor on the Deathstar, shooting their lazerguns at a bunch of stormtroopers who are about 20 feet away - same corridor.
They are trapped. It doesn't look good.
So Leia shoots out a grate in the hallway, and they all jump in, landing in a garbage compactor. They then spend the next 10 minutes trying to escape the trash compactor, before R2 D2 lets them out.
What the frank were the stormtroopers doing during those 10 minutes?
They couldn't figure out that the rebels have disappeared, and there's a hole in the grate right next to where they were shooting from 2 minutes earlier? - Atomic Wedgie
Wedgie, the brightest minds in the Empire do not comprise the pool of candidates from which Stormtroopers are selected. |

this is a pretty biased take.
Andersen is fine..but he is not close to a vezina caliber goalie to this point

Anyone buying the Elliotte Freidman rumours, about Vancouver offering the 7th overall pick + more to Carolina for Noah Hanifin?
If true, I don't think we can match that. |

Many commentators where. For a while only Vaseline Man in Tampa was hotter...
It is funny how quickly everyone forgets our goalies the last decade...
Yes, lets get rid of Andersen.... I am sure that will work out well...
And seriously, Robin Lenher? |

hannifin > 7th imo
i don't think carolina should have to settle for a package of 3-4 pieces. they should be able to find a very good piece coming back. |

I agree.. I can see how Anderson can look like a Vezina goalie when compared to Toskala |

What's the "+?"
You'd imagine the Canes would want an NHL ready forward of some description.
...it's Sutter isn't it. |

No mention of what the "+" is.. I assume it's Tanev and/or Loui Eriksson, cause everyone wants Tanev.. |
