Why not!! We were good enough last year. Just seemed like everything that could go wrong, did. Injuries to key guys. I expect us to be in playoffs. We’ve refilled cupboard. As mentioned a real good core of guys that are just hitting their prime. I think signing Tavares will make us cup comtrnders

I don't disagree one bit on the second part of your comment, but I don't wholly agree about "having" to take him at 9. It will, obviously, come down to what the Rangers think of him vs. who's left on the board...but if I'm inside the top-10, I'd much prefer to take someone at an impact position (ie: not a winger) if it's possible.

Of course, if there are no good centers/defenseman available and/or there's a major-standout winger available...I'd take him. But I don't think that Tkachuk is ever going to be game-breaking talent. I think you could probably find 10 players in the second round that have similar value to him.

Wonder if one of our 2nd round picks could land Adam Fox, I know we're colecting defensemen like trading cards but he's a closer to ready prospect
