It was cold enough for poop to freeze last night. Much needed. I havent had solid sleep for days until last night. The mosquitoes have been the worsed I've seen in 15 years. I found where they were getting into the house. Flap on range hood duct was stuck open and I forgot to put the filter back in after cleaning. I was killing on average a mosquito every 45 seconds in the house and was using Muskol before bed. The carnage on my bedroom wall is gross. Probably over 100 splats many who made off with a healthy meal while I slept. Can't find my old mosquito net either.
When they are this pesty, my ears get so tuned to the sound that it wakes me from 12 feet away. I can sleep through the bites no problem though. This morning, woke to kill a couple and that was hit. Slept for hours without waking. Was killing a dozen or so every half hour all night long and at day break forget about it... like the Matix battles... the little bodies piling up around me... can't even have a personal moment as they have no fear of biting a hand in mid fap. |

The worst part is he is too stubborn to admit he was wrong. Still rates him really low |

Paid the same for Dougie Hamilton. I'm not sure how Hamonic would ever have the same worth as Hamilton. |

He doesn’t deserve a latte (only bloated does). Just a straight black Grande garbage Pike roast across the chops |

absolutely true
Its something I noticed as well. People making consensus on picks then freaking out when JB picks someone else and call him stupid cause his view was different than posters on HB. Ridiculous
remember people blowing their tops when he didnt take glass? Now there's not a poster here that would take glass over pettersson - SMBDragon
So I just saw you last response but didn't see any from before. You definitely DID NOT want Gallant, I remember it quite clearly because you are one of few people that will actually talk turkey about coaching strategy and who you did and did not want. So are you pretending you were pro-gallant now? Have a new assessment of him? I honestly just didn't see any other responses but today and am just curious. |

I’m cool with it straight up but I’m not adding much to that. If they want Demko or Dahlen added then no thanks. |

yes. all good points.
obviously this was considered by management and the decision was made to patch a hole with young players and some picks were used (not all our picks were used, we still have had picks/quality picks in all the draft years).
Was it worth it? Impossible to say what our team would have looked like if we'd gone a different direction. players may have been injured, decided not to sign, made or not made the lineup, etc.
Personally, i'm good with the decision. I have never liked the idea of intentionally trying to suck.
There is a balance that Mgmt was trying to strike with remaining competitive (while Sedin's were here) and restocking cupboards, adding younger players.
Essentially we've done that.
Would we be in a better position if we'd 'blown it up' and traded everyone for picks? Sure.
Is that a realistic way to run a business or hockey team?
No. - dbot
Never advocated to blow it up or suck on purpose. My argument was against trading picks for castoffs. The team has tanked for 3 straight seasons anyway so it’s a moot point |
