He's not a good puck mover, and to make housley's system work, we need good to great puck movers in the top 4.
- Sabresfan-365

Is this a nice way to say he doesn’t want to play Housley’s system?

i don't think it's want, it's cant. His play style just isn't that. He's built for the previous era, still a good d-man, but if you wanna play that up tempo north south game your core guys at D and O have to be good to great puck movers.

So what might the Sabres expect to get or ask to get on Ryan O’Reilly? I understand teams interested in him are being told it would have to be very similar to the Mike Richards from Philadelphia to Los Angeles style of deal that was circa what, 2012. So it was six years ago. That year they traded Jeff Carter and Mike Richards – Carter to Columbus and Mike Richards to the Kings.

Now, when Richards was traded back in 2012 to L.A., he was 26 years old at the time and the return for Richards from L.A. to Philly was a 22-year-old Wayne Simmonds, a 19-year-old Brayden Schenn – and keep in mind Brayden Schenn was a fifth overall pick in his draft year. Plus, in addition to Simmonds and Schenn, a second-round pick in that year’s draft.

“So I think the Sabres are kind of angling for that one really solid young player, one top-notch prospect – soon to be an NHL player, and a pretty significant pick – albeit it not necessarily a first-rounder. So that’s the going price, it would seem.

Matthews will come in between 11.5-12.
Marner will come in between 8-8.5
Nylander should get close to 7 if not a shade below.

i think both marner and nylander will come in at less than 8 mil. They'll probably try extending them both this summer before they have the kind of season that earns them a massive deal

it really is a shame Skinner has a full no move clause cause i feel like that's one ROR deal (premise not necessarily a 1 for 1) everyone here could get behind.

Skinner can flat out score, at any game state.

The cap hit is an issue.

$7.875 for the next 8 years is a big number.

$62,857,144 in cap space and only $30 mil in actual salary.

This contract will be bought out in 2 years.

No way in hell. You have him on your books for 12 years? That's Yashin level bad.

Saute it and place a steak on top of is after searing all sides(season the steak with garlic powder, black pepper, and salt).

10-15 mins in the oven @ 200 (10 for rare, 15 for rare side of mid-rare)

- dadeadhead

A good steak stands on its own and doesn't need any spices, save for a little salt when cooking in a skillet and in the oven.

But on the grill, put a light coating of Weber's mustard on before cooking. It's delicious.

Felt like GMTM got squeezed because they knew how much he liked Lehner, would like avoid a similar mistake. Even a fair trade would get twice the scrutiny, could deal without that as well.

“And in my view, the player that is most likely to be moved is veteran center Ryan O’Reilly."

Includes #Sabres' ask from teams, as well as Tavares UFA complication. #Isles #Canes #Habs

Speculation regarding Ristolainen, #Oilers addressed.

That’s Bob McKennzie

That's fair but the circumstances are better. For one thing, TM identified those guys as core players, Sheary would just be an opportunistic get. Pens have a lot less leverage than Jets/Sens had (in reality they had none, TM gave it to them).
