I have not, I know a bit unorthodox, some would even say crazy or stupid I guess. But I am an avid runner, and have confidence in my fitness level, and have allowed adequate time for training and to build up my mileage. I always told myself I wanted to do a marathon, but I just enjoy the challenge and adventure of running trails more than the road, so here I am.
Edit: To be clear, I've ran the distance of a half marathon before, just never done an actual event/race. - Fryman4
Woof - good luck. A full marathon on the roads is very challenging, doing it on trails kicks up the challenge level quite a bit.
Well, Gordon must be wrong. However, if he were an NHL coach, he would be right. It is a fine line - YuenglingJagr
He is wrong. Were it only one time there may be room for a difference of opinion. Twice, getting sketchy. Three times, well, what we have here is a problem.

Don't you know that you have to give NHL coaches the benefit of the doubt, and to blindly follow and agree with any/all decisions made by the coaching staff/front office?
Well done! The half marathon is my favorite race. Long enough to require a real training plan but not so long as to dominate your life while training (like the full marathon does). - Scoob
Thanks! I am determined to never do a full marathon. Two hours is my time limit for any individual run.

Get with the program!!! - jmatchett383
Matt Read was clearly not ready to help the team in any way between November and February, and playing Lehtera, Weise and Goulbourne on the team ahead of him during that time was a great move by management.
And then putting Read back on the team after the trade deadline was also a great move. Great moves as far as the eye can see around here.
