As far as future Rangers coach--- Brooks is part of the problem here with his speculation. He has NO idea what Gorton is thinking, yet he has to write a column and so he makes this nonsense up. I am sure the Rangers have a very clear plan, they just aren't sharing it with Larry Brooks.

i don’t get the panic about a coach yet. Seems like they’re going through the process still. I know one thing, rushing that hire and decision is not a good idea. That Marlies coach is still playing so that could be the hold up

Not sure Babcock is going anywhere for at least a few years...that would be a tough pill to swallow from Keefe's perspective.

I find it hard to beleive any team could do that. In no way do I see the Leafs letting Babcock go in the next 4-5 seasons. They’re building a winner, albeit slowly, so imo it’s a 0% he’d be fired before then. And you can’t make an aspiring HC wait that long, that would pretty mean and messed up
