Yup. I would be willing to go 3.75 for 4 years. Think the big question this off season is what Hayes's deal is.
- mdw7413

I don't know what to make of Hayes. Sometimes I see him do some pretty impressive stuff and other times I literally forget he's even on the ice.

I'd have to imagine they pay him a bit more than Spooner, but I can't see it being significantly more. Maybe like $4M - $4.25M or something.

He has another gear for sure, but at 26 I have a tough time believing he'll ever find it, and stay in it, permanently.

Pretty much exactly what I'm hoping.

Well this season AV had him out as the shut down center against other teams best lines. I think his ceiling is probably somewhere around mid 50's point player but plays extremely well away from the puck.

i mean is he a devils fan or something??
- mrn22

Everyone thinks he specifically hates their team's prospects. I mean he gets paid to write about prospects and it can't all be positive. It's only one guy's opinion and part of covering prospects/scouting/etc... is being wrong a lot of the time, so I wouldn't take it too personally.

The Rangers have a lot of those types of guys and eventually, in the not-so-distant-future, they're going to have to part with some of them to make room for the next wave of prospects to start earning NHL jobs.

Well, up until the last year or so, the Rangers pipeline has been pretty devoid of any type of talent. There wasn't a whole lot to write that would have been construed as positive.

He's been pretty complementary of Chytil in most things I've read, he just doesn't see him as a star-type player which, if I'm being honest, I don't either. That doesn't mean I don't think he'll be really talented, just not "can't-miss" sort of talent.

Exactly what my gf did for her sister.

She was like, I'm not doing that again.

My brother did biathalon. I told him, don't even ask, unless I can sit in a cabin with hot chocolate and watch.

The NYC Marathon is awesome. I had friends that lived on the UES on 91st and 1st and for a few years in a row we'd just get trashed and have a blast cheering everyone on. One year we ran across the street during a lull in the race and bought bananas to drunkenly hand out to the runners.

One lady slipped on a peel and her day was over.
