I see us having 2 Norris trophy candidates for the next decade, and I’m trying to keep my expectations low

U seriously think Casey Nelson will be a Norris candidate?
He won’t ever even make an AllStar game

Thing is, at this moment, their are a lot of better players than Dahlin. Until he proves that he can do it at the NHL level, he's a risk. If I'm Buffalo and I get a top 5 pick and a top pairing D whose 26 or under....I think about it.

I will say...the one that has Letang and Sheary plus a first looks pretty good to me though lol. Mainly because the pens could make a play for Carlson and grab Dahlin for a D man, though when healthy and on his game is pretty amazing, that has a lot to prove himself. (Obviously this is one of the dumbest trades that the Sabers could make)

I seriously doubt any package could be made to not take Dahlin. It is not like the Sabres have had the 1st overall pick in like forever, so no way they trade out of that, especially for a talent that could be similar (if not a higher potential ceiling) as Karlsson. Karlsson basically carried Ottawa in the playoffs last year. Having a top end D like that is very key to the success of a franchise. So I will respectfully disagree with any trade you have written up. Another side of this type of talent is salary control for at least 3 years, which with our cap situation is pretty key. No way Edmonton offers McDavid (really the only player I would consider in a trade for Dahlin) so I think it is safe to say he will be coming to Buffalo.

I read the other day that a trade offer to Carolina from Sabres was O'Reilly and Asplund for #2 overall. Doubt that is enough to get that deal done, but it was a starting offer to get things moving. Having the 1st and 2nd overall pick could be very huge for GMJB as he tries to make this "his" team.

I think Vegas pull one back tonight. Last game they looked lethargic, I doubt Gallant allows that to happen for two games in a row.

That 'article' you posted earlier from The Sportster..

what the (frank)ing hot garbage is that? You should browse some of the other diarrhea that guy writes.

All I needed to do was read the first trade offer. Nylander? Ok and... Liljegren? Alrite.. and..

Gauthier. Gauthier? Wow a worse Girgensons?!? Go on..

And a late 1st.

I'm going to go poop on that bumhole's porch.

They shouldn't have to trade Zucker. I don't see why they would. They should have about 5-6 million in cap money before they sign him or trade/BO anyone else.
