for a team that didnt make the playoffs. Calgary doesnt have a 1st, 2nd or a 3rd in 2018 They could use a 1st
Looks like Brouwer might be the only bad contract.
I think Stone is one of the RH D that would take time and/or keep a prospect down like Andersson. So they should keep him - senstroll
Yeesh. Brouwer has 2 years left at $4.5 million. That would suck. Maybe they could retain some salary? |

Brouwer has 2 years left. Unsure about the second year when Matthews and Marner's contracts kick in. - Aaron_85

I saw in the Calgary thread the cost is Marner, Gardiner and a 1st - senstroll
Good luck with that. If that's the price, Hamilton is going nowhere ever, 'cause no one will pay that price. |

Yeah apparently it's a pretty steep price. Yet Gio is making nearly 7 million until he's close to 40 and isn't nearly as effective as he once was. |

Martin is basically dead salary going the other way I guess to offset it.

He won't be going anywhere, probably be the 13th forward.

... since I hate when people do this to our fanbase, I'll be fair and clarify this one.
The guy was not suggesting that was fair value. He was suggesting that they would not be interested in trading Hamilton unless it was a severe overpayment, like Marner Gardiner and a 1st.

Some guy in that thread made some reference to trading Gio now so they could get a #4 -6 pick.

pay his bonus july 1 and he'll only cost $1.25M/year in actual salary for 2 years.

4th to 6th round pick? - Symba007
I believe the quote was something like "top 4-6 pick".
Guy will be 35 at the start of next season and has a cap hit of 6.75 for 4 more years.
I can't imagine a huge market for that. |
