Caps wanted it more. Pens were slow to every loose puck. Injury or whatever else, the Pens didn't play up to our expectations. Hang your hat on back to back and hope they learn from this.

I’m most dissapointed with the lack of adjusting to the game the Caps were playing. They just kept doing the same thing all night long.

The only real options IMO are Karlsson and if LAK is truly looking for a change from Doughty... I'm sure neither are realistic though.

My love for Fleury out weighs anything about any of the remaining teams.

Also, while I wouldn't mind seeing Ovechkin and Backstrom win the Cup, I hate Wilson, Oshie, and Trotz more than I like those two. Won't be heart broken if they win, but certainly not rooting for it.

agreed but with the way he is playing at key moments, you still need a 1D.

he was always prone to getting lost in his own end during cycles, but its not just that anymore. its glaring inability to cover back after pinches. the ability to defeat presses by skating the zone out and the ability to get good stretch passes going the other way has been glaring too.

i agree with you, after the instant anger subsides, rationality does dictate you cant just cut him loose obviously. yes hes the number one on this team, but its more by default now than merit.

He was one season removed from neck surgery lol, and he still put up a poop load of points. That last play was on both him and Dumo for trying to jump up. Dude's fine. Pens are fine. We just won back-to-back cups. They'll be back next year.

On the plus side...I've been keeping this avatar of Hank tipping over the net for the past 2 years because the Pens hadn't lost a series since he did that. You don't mess with a streak, after all...but looking forward to a new one after all this time.
