I went to the Marlies game on Saturday, and Liljegren had less impact on the game than the j in his name had on its pronunciation.
Is it possible he has mono again? - Atomic Wedgie
Liljegren is 19yo
the list of D that young in the AHL is pretty short. And the ones that are impact players at that age might be a few players total |

Having a strong ECHL team has never, ever made a difference before.
I'm not saying that the Leafs are crazy for trying to do this - what the frank, it's just money - but to suggest that it is proven that it is important to have a strong farm system at the ECHL level is pure conjecture. - Atomic Wedgie
I agree and disagree all at the same time.
A strong ECHL team could help the AHL club the same way an AHL club supports an NHL club (depth and development)... but I don't ever expect that a player playing in the ECHL is going to play a game in the NHL. |

At 10 feet, 11 inches, your BMI would be 24.6 - putting you in the normal weight category. |

*fat old bald white men shouldn't play basketball regardless how much your kid pesters you*
and I don't remember it being this tough to use crushes....but I guess that's what an extra 30-40lbs will do. ![:yuck:](https://hbcf.s3.amazonaws.com/images/emoticons/yuck.gif) - Garnie
A friend up the street still plays rugby.
Every time we get together and have a few wobbly pops, I get all psyched to go out and play one more game with his team.
And then I wake up the next morning and realize what a franking awful idea that would be. |

Don't get me wrong, I'm not throwing the bust label on him (just yet...).
I'm just saying that guys here who are advocating that we trade Gardiner this offseason, and insert Liljegren in his place are smoking crack. |

But in the meantime, here's one of my favourite websites to frank around on:

I would need to gain 36 lbs. just to be average in the US of A.
I can't imagine how disgusting I would feel at that weight. |

Cap going up by $5 million minimum, add $5 million for Neal, Add $13 million for loss of dead salaries. $23 million. Add $6 million that they are under 2017 cap space $29 million: Add following rookies on entry level deals - Cody Glass, Nick Suzuki, Eric Brannstrom and possibly Keegan Kolesar.
They seem to be pretty healthy salary wise. And unlkie the Sens, they sell out their playoff games so being a cap team is a non-issue. - winsix
Projected cap is 78M-82M as per https://www.nhl.com/news/...se-in-2018-19/c-293815570
I feel like you arent looking at the math. They have 48.5M committed salaries for next year, that's with all the dead money off the books. All of those dead salaries werent roster players, so alot of those players(RFAs/UFAs) that were playing still need to get raises.
None of those rookies played meaningful roles this year, and i truly doubt they do next year. Too early for them.
48.5M+17M/20M = 65.5M/68.5M without James Neal signed
Say its 82M cap, thats 16.5/13.5M. Sorry, the math doesn't add up. They also have other roster players to resign/sign that I didnt include in the 17M-20M. They can't sign both, it just wouldn't work. |

My wife is rehabbing from ACL reconstruction. She told me she may want an exercycle for the basement.
So I took a quick look on Kijiji yesterday - the ads are quite sad/hilarious.
"Almost new exercycle. I bought this a year ago and have used it less than 10 times. I've given up all hope. Asking $200 or the equivalent in donuts." |

And it'll happen for sure... but if Kyle Dubas, future GM of the Maple Leafs, told me that the plan was to develop someone out of the ECHL with the mind of making them a regular NHL contributor, I would tell him that he's too young to be an NHL general manager and that his job should be done by someone at least twice his age. |

You are making your assumptions that they will increase payments to RFA's by $17 million - not likely. They will likely make a couple of trades, but even if they do not, is there a single player on their roster that they would rather have than JT? I didn't think so. I would think resigning Karlsson is likely, Perron as well, collin miller sure after that, who cares?
Projected cap is 78M-82M as per https://www.nhl.com/news/...se-in-2018-19/c-293815570
