Not to mention he kissed Komarov earlier in the season too.
- RickJames77

Yeah, it's the 3rd time he has done it.

The weird thing is that this is actually a thing
- RickJames77

Who would have thought that the NHL would have to implement a penalty for licking.

Mardouche, what a joke he is

[quote=PatC80]Chara had to talk to Marchand and tell him not to lick people. That's funny.. A 6'7" behemoth that has made his living cross-checking the sh!t out of players that are seven to ten inches shorter teaching a crack-head about behaving with class.

I'm (frank)ing sick of it too. Just play the game and stop disrespecting your own team by pulling this crap. If you want to tarnish your own name go for it, but once you start trudging your team through the mud and making the story about you instead of everyone then there is a serious problem.

Not that his dirty play isn't a serious problem.

- RickJames77

It's a fine line Marchand rides. When the team is winning and beating up on the Leafs it looks "okay" and can be glossed over because you're winning. Once the team is losing then it embarassing and the rest of the team gets fed up.

That Chara had to do it is one thing. It was the right call as I think every single one of his teamates were embarassed.

I still can't (frank)ing believe the NHL let him do it twice and decided to "just warn him".

What a joke.

If Sean Avery had done something like this, he'd be suspended for life.

Again.

- Scabeh

If Avery had toned down his antics he'd end up being a fine player. Wasn't he a pretty decent second line winger?

I still remember the stick in Brodeur's face on the PP.

To be fair, I thought that was (frank)ing ingenious.

Made the rules evolve because of a loophole.

Sure it was also pretty disrespectful to one of the greatest goaltender in game but at least it didn't violate him physically.

And yeah he was a decent hockey player.... solid third liner imo.... just went full retard.

Do any of you watch the show Westworld?

The first season was awesome. But man this second season is (frank)ing insane!

Last night's episode (episode 3) was some of the best television I've ever watched!

Avery would stand in front of Brodeur and put his stick blade right in front of his face without touching him. He wasn't even looking at the play, he just focused on doing that one thing.

It was legal at the time as he wasn't breaking any rules by not touching him and it pissed Brodeur off to no end.

Oh on a PP, I think in the playoffs for that matter, Avery didn't participate in the play at all. His back was turned to the play and he put his stick up in front of Brodeur's mask and kept waving it around trying to distract/block his view.

They played like dog poop and Tampa played excellently. They didn't deserve to win so it is what it is and am not mad about it so therefore can't really take anything out on anyone.

What I can do is point out how unrealistically stupid your propositions are and clearly I am not alone. There's no sense in arguing with someone who thinks Nylander alone lands you Seth Jones and thinks that that package of misfit toys gets you Erik Karlsson.

- RickJames77

Why was the gun that shoots jam on the Island of Misfit Toys?

Any kid would franking love that.

Sure, the parents would hate it, but T.S.

Oh it was. Full credit for them doing it, using it.

I only care a bit because (frank) is it ever dangerous for the guy with his back turned to the play.

I thought so too, it wasn't illegal at the time and at no point does Avery lick Brodeur

Thanks to all who replied.

WOW!

I didn't even realize there was a rule to prevent this because I was unaware of this in the first place

That is genius

It would really suck if Lamirello left to goto the Islanders and kept Tavares there

I'd expect nothing less from you.

I'd rather argue with a wall. It has better odds of formulating a concrete argument.

- RickJames77

honestly I thought a lineup with Tavares, Kovalchuk, Thornton, Karlsson and Seth Jones would tip you of as not serious...
