My nephew -in -law thinks that Marchand's licking warranted a 3 game suspension, but the hit on ZAR was a good hit. He is a Bruin's fan.

Better, maybe, but I expected way more from him in these playoffs.

I just can't remember him having the hands made of cement when he was with NYR/OTT. He had so many A-1 scoring opportunities and couldn't bury any of them. Kind of like Hagelin.

MAF, sure. Plus Perron and Neil. Reaves has only played in one game however.

It's Neal. Neil is the old Sen's good. Don't forget Engelland, too.

hahah concerned about it, are we?

The Pens D is better than it was the last run, its just when they make a glaring mistake it ends up in their net this year. Not getting the big saves at important times as much as they have in the past.

This was very smart troll attempt though, I give it a 8 out or 10.

or it is an actual question, I thought the Pens had a real good AHL team, which could mean they having some good forwards down there.

Good AHL team is 0 indicator of prospect pool. GRG won the calder cup last year and DET has one of the worst prospect pools in the league. PIT has plenty of young talent to implement in the current roster to keep a championship contending window open for at least 3 more seasons.

I'm still optimistic the Pens can pull off two in a row. I get them having confidence and feeling like they can win every game but I honestly haven't seen any killer instinct from them this offseason (especially on the PP). Last game they played pretty well but they made so many lazy, dumb plays that really ended up burning them.

Letang has been really bad. Kessel has been really bad (I don't care that he had 2 assists). Brassard makes cute plays but is rarely ever a threat to score. Geno is hustling but obviously hurt.

All this being said, the Pens have been the better team. Murray doesn't even have to steal one, he just needs to play decent and not give up any bad ones.

It has been even 5v5 other than PIT dominating the high danger chances.

Holtby has outplayed Murray to this point.

It's a tough spot to do it but I'd actually love to see Sprong get a spot in the lineup tonight. Simon looks good at times but I think Sprong can be used more effectively as a pure sniper. Just give him favorable zone starts and give him a shot.

He line was dominant in the close-out game. I know it's impossible, because he has absolutely no skill whatsoever, but he and his linemates were pretty much unstoppable. They didn't score, but they definitely were a key to wearing down the Sharks.

I'd like to see both of them with their teeth (whatever Neil had left) scattered all over the ice.

The frustrating thing with the high danger chances is that many of Washington's have been breakaways or 2-1's.

Pens just don't have enough skilled shooters in their lineup. Outside the big guns Crosby, Malkin and Kessel no one on the Pens is a great shooter. Jake and Hornquist are great scorers around the net but the Pens need a compliment higher in the slot also. That's why I want Sprong in.

I just don't think Wilson trusts him...defensive Lapses are what's killing them in this series and that's the knock on Sprong. No way he puts in someone that might be another element of risk.

How about the D stop pinching at every opportunity?

I know they basically have a live/die by the sword type of mentality, but their D are making poor pinches and leading to an ungodly amount of oddman rushes against.

I do too. Been thinking about it a lot this morning. I think he'd be better than Simon on the top line...but it doesn't matter what we think...

This.

If the Pens tightened their game up a bit from the get go...and maybe only took 50% of the pinching chances they have taken, we'd be waiting for the Bolts and Pens series to start.

They make your son practice for 2 hours after his game?

Who is his coach, Herb Brooks?

I don't know where Strabane is, so I will just assume it's a province in Northwest Denmark.

It's nice to meet a hockey fan from Denmark. I didn't know they had baseball there, though.
