Hags was back last game and was effective IMO.

Geno is clearly not 100%. There are times he's got some jump in his step and there are times you can see he struggles.

IMO where I see Geno struggle the most right now are puck battles along the boards and obviously it's because of strength issues in his legs.

Brassard and Kessel were both injured near seasons end, only explanation I can think of for the lack of production

Doesn't really matter. Someone has to step up. Whether it's Rust, Sheahan, Sheary, etc... Depth scoring has to happen.

My streams aren't kicking in. Has the broadcast started yet?

I have a new superstition f'n with me now... Cant wear anything the same that I already wore when watching a Pens playoff game this year.

Tonight I'm donning an Orpik shirt...

I don't think Brass ever found the right combo of wings. Plus, like you say, he had a groin problem and he hasn't looked very good since. I remember him being a much better skater. He looks about 60-70%.

Bottom 6 needs to step up... bonino, rust, sheary and Cullen scored big goals the last 2 runs!

Thought he was good after the first week of being here... then he started to slump. Wouldn't shock me if he was also battling through something like Kessel was. But at least he is still a faceoff winning machine.

Rust and Sheary seem like Brassard kinda guys

I would put Kessel and Hags with Geno and give that a try

Actually, maybe bump Horny down to Brassard's line. Not due to his performance, but Simon seemed fine with Sid, and he could elevate the 3rd line with Brass.

I think they've done well with possession, but it's been mostly perimeter stuff. I was disappointed that ZAR didn't get some time with Brass. I thought he could have been more of a net crasher who can open up some space. That's the biggest problem I see. Our smallish wings are having trouble on the boards and getting to the net.

Looks like Brassards on the 4th line with Kuhn and Sheary
