I still call BS on that. They paid 1/2 a BILLION for the team. How bad could Snow's contract be? The NHL wouldn't approve of an absurd contract. Bite the bullet and launch Snow into the sun. - JimmyP
Nothing would shock me when it comes to the NHL. Someone needs to get the real scoop on this contract once and for all. |

L&M probably think Sorokin has a bad attitude. This would be typical Isles. - ses111
Exactly. Get ready for the follow up Staple blog detailing how Sorokin and his agent are just a couple cray Cray ruskie trouble makers. |

I'm a week a way from putting all my isles gear in my fire pit and torching it. I'm gonna record it and send it to the isles on twitter - Vukota

I going to put mine in a box in the back of the attic. Many years from now my descendants will find it after I die. They will say "It's really true! There really were Islander fans in the past! We thought it was just a myth." Maybe it will inspire one of them to make a documentary about the complete collapse of the Islanders. |

How credible do you feel this is? - kindlyrick
On one hand a lot of info out of Russia seems to be subject to a game of telephone and translation issues.
On the other hand Igor Eronko is probably as trustworthy as they come, as far as Russian hockey media goes.
So I dunno. My confidence in that report being totally accurate probably hovers somewhere around 75%-80% |

Might as well just use Vukota's life if he's going to light himself on fire and die anyway. Win-win. |

Take it with some skepticism for sure. But I'm pretty confident that it's not totally-made-up, unless someone is feeding blatant lies to the media...which I guess wouldn't be a stretch in Russia.
Also, there was that rumor that Ledecky/Malkin went to meet with Sorokin and his agent to try and see if he'd be willing to come to training camp this year. Interesting that it, assuming the story is true, wasn't Snow doing that....especially given this potential news. |

I can easily believe this story. Garth has been scaring away players for years. |
