On one hand a lot of info out of Russia seems to be subject to a game of telephone and translation issues.

On the other hand Igor Eronko is probably as trustworthy as they come, as far as Russian hockey media goes.

So I dunno. My confidence in that report being totally accurate probably hovers somewhere around 75%-80%

Take it with some skepticism for sure. But I'm pretty confident that it's not totally-made-up, unless someone is feeding blatant lies to the media...which I guess wouldn't be a stretch in Russia.

Also, there was that rumor that Ledecky/Malkin went to meet with Sorokin and his agent to try and see if he'd be willing to come to training camp this year. Interesting that it, assuming the story is true, wasn't Snow doing that....especially given this potential news.
