I was more talking about their cap hits and the fact that this team could potentially jump up quickly if they weren't weighed down by those deals.

RoR gets talked about as if he's amazingly overpaid even though we have Bogo sitting at his house for 5.4M.

- RhinoFan

one can be moved for assets, the other can't be moved with assets. Nobody's disputing the fact that bogo is worse for this team.

1) No
2) We can without trading RoR
3) Mittelstadt has won the Calder already I see

Sorry, I'm being a d-bag. I just think he fits the mold of a perfect 1-2 punch with Jack that I'm not fond of the idea of trading him. Okposo and Bogo are weighing this team down, not RoR. Just 2 cents.

He is slow and doesnt make his wingers better at all.

Im sure we can get a passenger who can swing the puck on the power play for much less than 7.5mil

St. Louis makes sense because in order to be an effective 1B/2A center, his wingers have to do the scoring. They have that.

He can't make your average winger better.

- sbroads24

When Wilson came here, he was pointless in 17 games. ROR made him better, and he almost out-produced gus in 2/3rds as many games. This narrative that he doesn't make others better is false

But one of the biggest knocks I keep hearing is how he is overpaid. If we are so worried about the cap, I would imagine Okposo would be the obvious target, not RoR.

I'm not gonna get into pissing contest number 308 about it, but ROR made Wilson better. That's a fact

C'mon dude. Wilson isn't a top 6 on any other team, and ROR made him look pretty good. At least give the guy a little credit

Sure. I like Reinhart too. I'm not gonna change your mind on this. I just don't like the attitude around here that once a player is labeled an undesirable, any and all negatives can be attached to him. This "doesn't make people better" argument is right up there with "he's not the problem, but he's not the solution either." He's definitely part of a solution (maybe not here, but he could be), and he definitely makes people better imo. Scott Wilson is living proof, before and after his trade

5 more games OR 3 seasons

This was his third season, but it's not officially complete yet. He has to clear waivers next season.

20 games of Scott Wilson over an 8 year career doesn’t hold too much water

Agreed

I would like #3 and Galchenyuk for #8 and ROR

In 107 5 on 5 minutes with Evan Rodrigues he had 5 points
In 228 minutes with O’Reilly he had.....5 points

No, he didn’t make him better

The numbers are readily available for you.

Wilson did the same in half the time with Evan Rodrigues.

So basically,
Reinhart & O’Reilly
for
#3 (Zadina) & Galchenyuk

Yeah, I’d do that bc of our needs at the wing
But then we better at least get someone like Bozak for defensive Center responsibilities
Unless we think E Rod can do that?

Definitely not trading Risto bc that just creates another hole on defense

It's interesting to think about but out of all 3 Reinhart Risto ROR the one I want to trade the least is Reinhart unless his contract demands are crazy.

I also understand not wanting to move Risto. But what if moving ROR and Risto means you get Glachenyuk Zadina and can afford Carlson?
