He said that nothing happened. Tony kept on going.

haha yeah see, I just didnt like it. After all the time and emotion put into following those characters there just wasn't enough pay off for me.

The last episode of Breaking Bad was so good. Jesse getting away and laughing manically after Walt had the gun set up in his trunk and took everyone down. Then he has those two dealers pointing the lasers at his old business partners. You see Walt actually die. Brilliant ending.

What? Really? I thought he came out and said he left it to the viewers to decide the ending.

I think Breaking Bad is almost the exception to the rule as far as finales. So many great shows had finales that most people were unhappy with.

Sopranos, Dexter, Sons of Anarchy and even Seinfeld lol

Initially yes, that's what he said. He's since changed his tune. I'll try and google where I found that.

He's said all three things. He's said that its up to the viewers, then he said Tony's definitely alive, and now he's on he's definitely dead.

He's just stirring the pot.

I said to Gandolfini, the bell rings and you look up. That last shot of Tony ends on “Don’t stop,” it’s mid-song. I’m not going to go into [if that’s Tony’s POV]. I thought the possibility would go through a lot of people’s minds or maybe everybody’s mind that he was killed. He might have gotten shot three years ago in that situation. But he didn’t. Whether this is the end here, or not, it’s going to come at some point for the rest of us. Hopefully we’re not going to get shot by some rival gang mob or anything like that. I’m not saying that [happened]. But obviously he stood more of a chance of getting shot by a rival gang mob than you or I do because he put himself in that situation. All I know is the end is coming for all of us.

I thought the ending would be somewhat jarring, sure. But not to the extent it was, and not a subject of such discussion. I really had no idea about that. I never considered the black a shot. I just thought what we see is black. The ceiling I was going for at that point, the biggest feeling I was going for, honestly, was don’t stop believing. It was very simple and much more on the nose than people think. That’s what I wanted people to believe. That life ends and death comes, but don’t stop believing. There are attachments we make in life, even though it’s all going to come to an end, that are worth so much, and we’re so lucky to have been able to experience them. Life is short. Either it ends here for Tony or some other time. But in spite of that, it’s really worth it. So don’t stop believing.

Yeah the article says there is no answer. Which leaves interpretation to the viewers IMO.

As per your earlier quote, I just assumed he died and it was trade-off between the families to take out Phil.

Series finales are (frank)ing difficult to nail. I'm super worried about GoT's. Walking Dead is too far gone. BB did have a satisfying ending, I'll give it that for sure. I actually really enjoyed the Sopranos ending.

Oh I definitely think he died. Its the only ending that makes sense. If Tony's not dead its actually a really stupid ending.

I enjoyed the Sopranos ending as well.

I gave up on Walking Dead three episodes into season 7. Every (frank)ing season is the same.

I'm not worried about GOT's ending. I believe without a shadow of a doubt there will be closure, but probably not the closure we're all looking for. Anyone who's a fan of that show knows never to get too attached to any character, so I'm prepared for the worst.

I ruined the Vikings for some dude at a bar last night and I laughed like Tom Wilson. I was saying to my buddy that I stopped watching after Ragnar died and this guy turns around and said, "RAGNAR'S DEAD?!?!"

EDIT: Then again I have a knack for doing this. I walked out of the Force Awakens and said out loud, "I can't believe Han Solo is dead!" as we walked by the line of people waiting to go in.

What's your take on the rest of the series? You think the Caps got the Pens' number this year? This hearing result will have a huge impact on the rest of the series since Wilson has been the bulldozer clearing the way for Ovie to operate.

While what Wilson does can definitely rattle the Pens and get them off their game for minute, I don't think he impacts this series as much as people think. The biggest sigh of relief is the likelihood of another player getting injured goes down.

The biggest thing hampering the Pens right now is their depth isn't contributing offensively. If this continues to happen, I think the Caps will take it.

In the Philly series they were getting goals all throughout the lineup. Right now they're just getting it from one line.

We need Jack Bauer to talk out Wilson.

I think if anyone else not named Sid and Jake can figure out how to score some (frank)ing goals, the Pens will have a chance. But right now their PP is kinda dry. Their defense is making really bad pinches at the blue line. On a few instances, too many guys were below the goal line leaving the slot wide open.

I think they played a solid game aside from some glaring mistakes, especially in the second period, and if they keep playing like that and can get a few bounces from other guys they can win the series but if they don’t start getting help on the score sheet, I think Washington takes the series.

This series almost has a sense of irony IMO.

Against the Flyers, I thought the Pens just didn't play well as a whole. The one thing they got was more depth scoring.

In this series, I actually think the Pens have had the better of the play, but they're just not getting any scoring from outside the first line.

EDIT:
If the Pens lose the series, the thing that's going to drive me nuts is all the Murray-haters will be relentless and somehow make it about Murray.
