This logic that because Sid and Geno have gotten away with dirty plays is a reason other teams should get away with suspendible plays is just ludicrous.

Big time players play with an edge and many take it too far at times... AT TIMES. Guys like Thornton, Getzlaf, Sid, Ovie, Geno, Giroux and the list goes on. These guys play hard, with passion and unfortunately their actions sometimes end in "dirty" hits/plays. I'm not excusing it and if they get away with it, that's the fault of the NHL.

Then there are players who are flat out reckless. Wilson is actually a good hockey player and plays with an edge, but he also plays without regard. He also laughs about it after the fact.

Just because Geno got away with a slewfoot, or Sid got away with a spear doesn't mean you don't properly discipline a player who does something against the Pens.

I get it, the Pens are basically the NY Yankees of hockey. Everyone loves to hate them and because of this more controversy comes out of their games when the same exact thing is happening in every other game.

The NHL should not wait for Wilson to do this a third time because some players on the Pens have done dirty things in the past.

I love Breaking Bad, but man do people love to overrate it and call it the best show of all time. There are only two acceptable answers: The Sopranos or the Wire. Breaking Bad maybe cracks the top 5 at exactly 5.

What are the other 2? Just curious, seems like we like similar shows.

It's so hard to call ANY show the best of all time. You really have to break it down by genre.

Sopranos is by far one of the best things to ever appear on television, but you can't compare it to a comedy show.

I think Game of Thrones has reached Sopranos level. Dexter and Six Feet Under are also up there for me.

Haha thats two other shows the I got extremely into...I wouldnt know how to rate them 1 to 3 though...I liked them all pretty equally. Breaking Bad would just build and build up with every passing episode. The Wire had so many moving parts and characters by the time it finished, unreal. Soprano's did too but I feel like it lost a bit of steam in the last season with the dream episodes and the finale, where as Breaking Bad kept peaking and peaking and climaxed in the final episode.

#3 is gonna come completely out of left field when I say Buffy/Angel (two shows but they're really hard to separate). Those shows are ingenious and the fact that they came out before the golden age of tv when people weren't taking chances with narratives really elevates them further.

After that, now that I'm thinking about it, I actually probably would put BB at 4. If we're doing comedy too I think there's an argument for Arrested Development but I don't really like comparing comedies and dramas.

#5 I'd probably give to Twin Peaks especially after The Return season, which was (frank)ing awesome.

Honorable mentions go to to Mad Men and GoT (GoT would have probably cracked the list if it hadn't gone completely to poop over the last couple of seasons)

I think Dexter and Boardwalk get way too poopty at the end to be considered great shows. Same with True Blood.

Deadwood is great though. I think it went off the air right it was hitting its peak, so that hurts it a bit.

Currently watching the Americans. Really like it, but I would put it on the same tier as something like Black Sails as something that's super interesting and sometimes thematically poignant but not out of this world good.

Did Twin Peaks start off where the old show ended? That was such a great set-up for the next season, and there was no next season.

I can get down with this list. I think GoT is 1 for me though. The last season of Dexter was awful in my opinion. Really enjoyed it before that.

Kind of. There's a massive time lapse but it picks up on the last season's plot.

That why Dexter goes HM. (frank)ed up at the end. I've watched the Sopranos in its entirety like 7 times.

Band of Brothers is probably the greatest miniseries of all time. Such an absurdly well made show.
