The above post is slightly reasonable. Though, that's a lot of garbage to Vancouver for a essentially a second round pick (very late first). And I actually like Zach Smith.

mel isn't selling, he's grooming his daughter to take over, so stop thinking Alfie, Philly and some mysterious group (who we all know) of investors are going to swoop in and buy the team. Furthermore, the lebretton idea is a financial money pit disaster - so I'm quite pleased he's distancing himself from that. Perfectly good building--scaleable and reasonably located.

sign the heroes that the fans want you to, draft well, and some how get Luke Richardson back here to develop your young talent

Thanks?
Any counter trade proposal - I think the Sens easily could make a deal with Canucks but if they include karlsson it means we get the 7th and I just don't see that deal happening b/c Karlsson belongs on a true contender at the very latest in 3 years

I think there's a deal to be had trading down that doesn't include Karl.
The Rangers seem to think their pics are just about the greatest ever. They're very late 1st rounders. For the 4th pick, we'll take them both. And something else. OR you're taking Robert Ryan back.

I like our cupboard of prospects. Nick Paul notwithstanding, we've got some good stuff coming. While we don't have a Thkatchuk type player, I'm not sure he'll live up to the name or the hype.

I'd like to see Dorion get a pick back next year. Trade down for one, and a 1st next year. We aren't missing much in this draft.

To Vancouver

- AlfieisKing[4 years x 6.5m] Bobby Ryan; retain 1m of bobby ryan
[6 years x 1.2m] Marian Gaborik; buyout
[3 years x 3.3m] Zack Smith
[1 year. x 2.5m] Alex Burrows
2018 1st [via PIT]

To Ottawa

[4 years x 5.0m] Loui Eriksson
[1 year. x 4.5m] Alex Edler

Hoffman - Duchene - Dzingel
Eriksson - Pageau - Stone
Tkachuk - Brown - White
Clapik - McCormick - Pyatt

Edler - Karlsson
Chabot - Ceci
Borowiecki - Wolanin

*As time goes on in the year you play Stone with Tkachuk + Brown*

Resign Erik Karlsson 8 years @84m
1-3 years of $11m; 4-6 years of $12m; year 7 $9m; year 8 $6m
He gets 78m over 7 years (well over $11m per season). Cap hit = 10.5m

despite how bad this trade is...despite at overlooking you asking 3 Sens players with NMC or M-NTC to juggle around, despite over looking at how much cap space you are making the canucks take on...despite all that there is one fact that make this whole proposal just a laughing stock.

Edler has a full NTC,who in their right mind, 1 year away from UFA to make bank on their next contract is going to waive to play on the Sens next year. Even Erikkson has NMC and wouldnt waive to join that dumpster fire roster.

Nick Paul sure dropped off, I remember a few (myself inculded) thinking he could be a real contributor, now it seems we're perennially saying maybe he'll at least make the team next year. Maybe if there's as many buyouts are we're hoping for.

Also curious if Gagne will make an impact, since we're talking about what's left from the Spezza trade.

Batherson is looking pretty good in the Q at the moment.

Yeah I agree

The Sens have to move out Ryan and it will cost them an asset / less return. But there's a line. Either way Uncle Eugene has to spend $

hahaha I actually think you may have mental problems. I've likely played more hockey and higher levels of hockey then you ever have or will.

I comment on here because I enjoy good hockey talk and conversations, I post my opinions or facts, you comment on here because you are an a**hole who just wants to criticize.

You should grow up and stop being so childish

Just saying I may have mental problems and Im an bumhole confirm to me that you are cocky and mean. You like to get the last word and thinking youre smarter than anybody else on here. Yeah, you enjoy coming here just to write bullsh*t about hockey and thinking youre right because you have played hockey before. Just another moron who like to act as a GM like so many people on Internet.
