Speak for yourself
Your guys prized prospect Liljegrin got completely exposed in that series to little old Utica.
what was he pointless and -6 in 5 games. - classic321
he's 18. a lot to learn. no rush for him to be the savior.
johnsson and grundstrom sure looked good though |

You have to have fast skaters that can move the puck first. - thundachunk
Next year is going to be interesting . With the Sedins gone the team will be faster but at the same time puck possession will probably take a hit. It will be fun to see a faster team but they will miss the offense

And the same for our prospects. Ability to play in Europe & slide is good. Same as the CHL. Utica will be stocked better next year. |

That was a high lite of that series. My favourite part was how they turned it into a 7 games series only to suffer a crushing and humiliating defeat.
All of the crying and then the turning on Matthews was a lot of fun, too. |

No, I meant game 7. The game the Leafs lost. That game. |

As much as we all want Wahlly Kookoo or Chucky someone pointed out yesterday , top D ar e not moved , you need to draft them .
I am fine with being lured into fixing the scoring but we eventually do need to deal with D. |

Clearly.
I think this is pretty pressing actually.
I'd rather have a bunch of 10-15g scorers (and Boesser with 40g) and focus on drafting D.
Seems easy to uncover a forward or 2 that can score. D should be the priority.

the best defence in Canucks history is arguably the 2011 bunch and out of the top D , 2 were drafted in the 2nd round or later (edler, bieksa) , 3 were trades(salo, erhoff, ballard) , 3 more were free agent signings(tanev, rome, alberts) plus some less used guys that drafted and aquired as fill ins in minor trades, so my point is a defense can be built other ways then just picking at the top of the draft

We seen teams like the Leafs and Islanders deal with only forwards , you don't go very far. |
